question: i was reading your thoughts on the video aspects and thinking about what to shoot. i might tripod a couple cameras and do a screen capture as well if it's not too complicated. if i can only get one camera going though, is it better to have a close up of what i'm controlling + screen capture or to do a full on shot + screen capture?

i'm curious which you would prefer.

i had to shoot my video twice (one for the close-up, one for wide) but the audio, screen grab, and close-up are from the same go 'round. this also explains why i have grey sleeves in the closeup (i forgot to take off my hoodie). anyways...good luck!

If you have 2 cameras and a video editing program that can handle 3 A/V tracks at once, it's easy to sync of all of your video so you can do it all in one take. Start up your cameras and screen capture program, then clap once just before you start your mix. When you're trying to align the video later on, you just find the clap in the audio waveform of each a/v track and line them up. Then, you can cut the video accordingly. Good luck!

Hey everyone, this is my short vid running Traktor through Ableton. It's kind of hard to fit all you can do with this set up into ten min but I think you can get the gist of it. Love the videos so far and whats up to the people Ive met so far through this competition.

You can have 2 videos if you want, that gives you 20 min to work with. You could shoot another vid if you wanted to and show us what else you are doing.

Show off some ghost clip juggling or something ;)

Hi, I'm wondering if there's a certain style you're looking for and if these 4 vids are the only ones sent in for the moment because I have a completely different music style.. I play minimal/house/tech-house etc.. and if you're looking more at the techniques of how you're playing because I prefer the more classic way of mixing records but digital (either with traktor or traktor scratch) without midi player... I have enough with a mouse for traktor and 2 turntables for scratch :)

The first criteria was written incorrectly- I meant to say Song Sequencing. You can choose any song you like, just make them go together creatively. Dj TechTools, Remix Mag and Karma Resorts will be judging
