If you were more educated on the facts of the circumstance, he actually had every legal right to be where he was. He wasn't trying to get anywhere where he shouldn't have been, and he was put in handcuffs because he made some pointed remarks about Katie Couric. If you're wondering, he was laughing out of shock that they would actually do this, and he stayed there instead of leaving to MAKE A POINT. And, to some of us, the point was well-taken.

Ironically, Bush's attempt to install a fledgling democracy in Iraq...in hopes that over the next 20-50 yrs it would spread throughout the middle east was the most likely option to change the direction of those countries.

Unfortunately, we screwed up the post-war peacekeeping in Iraq, and the likelihood of democracy spreading in the middle east appears minimal.

And while I think the probability of Iraq becoming a US/european style democracy is pretty small, I still have hope.
