there are few songs you find in life that actually make you feel alive, good and bad all at once like your heart is about to burst. I may be pretty dramatic but I'll be listening to this song when I'm in my rocking chair at 90!
no mate ! there are many open and alternate tunings! i am not sure about what all polly uses but i have definitely seen her use an open G and E in her songs!
I know that. Apparently you didn't fully read what I wrote. I said Dolly used alternate tunings so she could play (with one finger) chords due to her three inch fingernails, not fingers.
After a week off, Polly Paulusma's Guitar Shop Tour is back with a vengeance. Ben from Vintage & Rare Guitars in Bath breaks out the good stuff - a 1967 Martin D35. One previous owner - Eric Clapton! Rumor has it, this is the guitar he wrote Layla on. To quote Mrs P. " F@ck'in hell!"
Nice tits.

Metallimeister 4 years ago
its not just with the capo on the second fret mate! i can see the capo too! but i presume its an open E with a capo in the second fret!
ushanrokz 4 years ago
ok that would make sense... I'm not too familiar with all the open chordy stuff.
Metallimeister 4 years ago
polly hardly plays in the standard tuning!
ushanrokz 4 years ago
Is that the only tuning she uses or are there others?

Yep, there are all kinds of funky tunings. That's what allows Dolly Parton to play chords on guitar with her three inch fingernails.
jocwalk 3 years ago
Is is not a question of short fingers, with different tunings you get new sounds and amazing chords easily.
