On a C#/D? I'm just a beginner so open to suggestions. What would you suggest for row crossings and why do you think those suggestions would make it sound better?
Thanks Roy. I'm trying the whole 'sharing videos' idea. My plan is to do exaclty what you suggested: slow version as well plus a website where people can post links to youtube videos, upload fingerings they are using, etc. My thought is that more experienced players could provide feedback to those of us who are learning. Plus, although I know where ornaments sound good on fiddle, the box is a new beast.
You are doing GREAT! I play both of these tunes, slightly differently, but I think that I like your version better. If you want to demonstrate the fingering, you could put up a slow version. It would also be useful for playing along.

On a C#/D box? What would you suggest as fingering/row choice? I do like the sound of it on a B/C box mind you.
