I think this was an Earth Day episode. All the USA channel cartoons had the Orb in it. I remember watching and when one cartoon finished with someone losing the orb..the next would start with someone finding it. If anyone knows what cartoons came on that day please post. I think an episode of Street Fighter had the orb in it too.

The orb was actually a cross-over device used to link all 4 of the animated series that aired on the USA network at that time. There's a seperate storyline that deals with the orb and that mysterious "nut" who chased after it. As I recall he and the orb made a cameo appearance in Street Fighter and Wing Commander, but I forget the fourth series.
