I have excellent technique but those bricks where no only hard being cement but they where taken out of the corner of a garage in the middle of winter so they were also frozen at the time.
I didn't have my female voice back then and even if I did I wasn't competing in the tournament as a girl so there was no sense in using a different voice at the time.
Yes it take many years to be able to brick ONE brick let alone five. You aren't allowed to break one unless you are a black belt and older than 16. That is to make sure your hand is fully developed because if you do it wrong you could really mess up your hand if it isn't fully developed.
I don't know. Some people use spacers and others don't. My instructor used them and everyone in our class did as well so I just ended up using them. It doesn't aid the break at all. Cutting them in half the long way aids the break giving you more leverage on them which you will note those bricks are not. They are excatly the way they were when we picked them up from the hardware store.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What in the name of Abudabiville Pumpernickle Pizza on a TwiddleThumb Bird did those bricks EVER do to YOU?! I can't believe you! Barbarian! :P (lol Great work!)

@GlenWHD there are no boards in this film at all so that comment has absolutely no point.

I would strongly recommend that you practice your technique so you don't injure yourself like you almost did there.

This is a very strange sport, but about safety? Does it take years of experience to be able to accomplish such a feat?

Can u elaborate a bit on the spacer theory, that it helps or aids in way to absorb the force?
