  • So beautiful.

  • Brilliant job, very moving!! Whenever I hear this song, it indeed makes me proud to be Australian.

  • Fantastic job to the Variety Youth Choir. I know one of the little girls in there from the Riding For The Disabled Association as I''m a volunteer with them for 6 years and she loves it. So proud of them all doing a wonderful job of singing this song. Brought a tear to my eye. Great song and sung beautifully. Well done Variety Youth Choir :)

  • From Canada can you hear me shouting Happy Australia Day everyone?

  • I always think this song sounds best when sung by a choir. That was so good, it gave me shivers :)

  • i love love love love this vidio!!!!!!!! its so ep1k <3

  • i love watching this is so nice to know that there are people like all of you out there wanting to help around the world. the floods really hit me hard because i am a queenslander an i had lots of family and friends caught up in them. i wish i had the courage like that to sing in a place so busy but i wouldnt be able to do it. i wish i could have watched it live and joined in

  • It's real easy if u don't like it or don't think it is an appropriate song choice that depicts the true Australian then f*^> of home to ur own country cos I don't know anyone that lives in Australia that is not proud to be portrayed as one EVEN if they from another country... We are proud and these guys did an awesome job singing in a packed food hall. Congrats u make me us proud..

  • This needs to be our national not the un-inspiring peice of crap we have now!!

  • " I'm Not From Australia " but I liked this any wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Je kiffe. C est super.

  • i am in there and i had alot of fun

i am at 1:51 with my hair down to the left

  • Peps is like wtf we want pitbull singing hey baby

  • Lol, that was amazing!!! But wouldn't it be hilarious if they did this in like Japan =P

  • Thank you for this Concert, I wish I was there. I have been replaying this video often, it lifts my spirit from the flooded Bundaberg river. What a great performance. I have sent this to friends around the world who offered their sympathies and concerns to those in the flooded waters, just to let them know that we may be wet and lost some, but we are strong.

  • im glad because this video has raised a lot of money for the qld floods that is sorely needed and much appreciated. my sis'n'law says thank you everyone who helped in any way you could. and so do i.

  • you cant see it but about half of those kids are from two or more nationalities. you cant see it but about 25% of those kids have some italian and are born and bred australian. do you get the picture bodella boy?

  • omg chill out plssss. this song is for ALL australians. variety raises money for disabled, disadvantaged and underprivileged kids. my two girls arent australian born but we live here. you cant see it but they are nz, english german and irish. you cant see it but one of them has cystic fibrosis. another sickness that affects certain kids.

  • I watch this video over and over again, just beautiful. It doesn't matter where we all came from, what matter most is that now, we are all Australians.. proud to be an AUSSIE!!!

  • Just beautiful, such a talented grou of young Aussies. Thank you Variety Club for giving everyone the opportunity to hear such talent.. Awesome!!!!

  • just beautiful, such a talented grou of young Aussies. Thank you Variety Club for giving everyone the opportunity to hear such talent.. Awesome!!!!

  • BodellaBoy

I am not blind. I watched the video again and apart from a dark skinned girl for two seconds at minutes 2:24 and 4:28 I still cannot recognise any persons clearly of Asian or Middle Eastern heritage. And what do persons in wheel chairs have to do with any of this?

Nice idea - good cause - just choose another song that purports to represent all Australians.

    Felix

  • @tgbfelix You're a Muppet.

  • @tgbfelix omg why cant you except that not everything is your way i am in there and those people in the wheel chairs are very nice and great singers so DON'T DISS THEM!!!!!!!!!

  • @tgbfelix you may not be blind but you seem to be deaf. What do you think the words, "we are one, but we are many" or "and from all the lands on earth we come" mean. And if there are no Asians or Middle Eastern's in the Choir it is probably because they haven't joined. The choir is open to anyone who can pass the audition. Maybe you should watch your prejudices, they are showing!!!!!

  • Great work. I love it. I can't sing this song without tears coming from my eyes and goosebumps.

  • Good Job

  • This song brought a tear to my eye, and some of the kids performing it need help themselves. To each and everyone of you: You are beautiful and miraculous and I thank you for sharing this.

  • This is a copy. A bad copy. Could have at least credited ImprovEverywhere.

  • 22 people are American....

  • Did this at school at our ANZAC day service and by the end pretty much everyone was standing and singing, like proud as Aussies. Good job to Variety Club Youth Choir

  • At school on Multicultural Day we had a consert where students volentered to go up on stage and preform something from their home country. And at the end our musical theatre group got up and started singing this. It was wonderful, even more so because the entire school joined in in the chorus.

All except my new Russian friend, who had never heard this song before. So when everyone joined in, she shot me a very confused face. I just gave her a knowing look. I'll have to teach her this. :)

  • wonderfull girls,wonderfull song,wonderfull Australia greatings

  • ooo...saw my friend!

  • Whenever I see a large group of young Australians at an event or just around the bigger communities or cities, a large proportion are of recognisable Asian or middle eastern heritage. Others can be picked out as having a background from some of the other 150 countries we have as citizens. Heck one occasionally even sees a black Australian amongst them.

But not in this group. Either a bad selection of the choir or a poor choice of song.

    Felix

  • @tgbfelix Obviously you suffer from blindness Felix cos youve missed every one of those nationalities within this group you say are missing. On top of that, some of the Variety Kids in there are in wheelchairs. Whats your problem? This was a magic moment capturing the souls of unsuspecting Aussies for a few minutes, in an effort to feel proud and to raise money for fellow Aussies in need after the floods this year.

  • @tgbfelix Ok, just because a group of kids does not represent the entirety of the demographics of Australia does not mean that they can't get up and sing about how proud they are about their country! That's like saying a bunch of white people in the US can't sing the words "I'm proud to be an American" because there are no Blacks, Asians or Hispanics in the group. That's just stupid! You would deny these kids the right to sing w/ pride about their country?!?!?!

  • @tgbfelix Did it occur to you that maybe they're singing about Australian as a whole and not just the group when they sing "We are Australian"????? Even if they weren't born there, let them sing about how proud they are to live there and in appreciation for those that came before them that created Australia so that they could live there! Don't deny or argue against their right to their patriotism!!

  • This is so awesome! My family and I can't stop watching it! I would like to see you guys in concert somewhere one day! You should highly consider it :)

  • How proud I am to have been born in this wonderful country 74 years ago, but, also, how I love those people who came to Australia over the years and who are now proud to call themselves Australians. • Really who the hell can dislike this video. What is wrong with the 15 people who clicked dislike

  • Thanks to all in WA. True Australian Patriots (They love the people, they love to help, they care) as oppose to Nationalists (they winge, they accuse others, they are not inclusive). As a supporter of those who suffer disabilities and to human rights in general I wish you all the best.

  • Thank you, Variety Club Youth Choir for bringing home just a little closer tonight. I am an expat who has lived overseas for 40 years. I cried a lot, for the spirit of this sunburnt land still lives in my soul. What is the problem with the flag? Every time I come across the flag overseas, my heart bursts with pride. Keep waving the flag, and allowing your beautiful voices to remind the world of the magnificent country we are blessed to call "home". God bless the troubled regions.

  • Our fathers and ancestors built the social welfare system in this country for the social wewlfare of our people. That has all been gobbled up by assylum seekers from SUDAN that get paid in the order of 1875 per Fortnight. To help them integrate into australian lifestyle. But our own people have to make do with a measly 5 to 600 Per Fortnight

  • I can say this if you love Australia thats great if their is anything within you that turns you of about our country. Get back on the boat of plane that yuou arived here on and dont come back. I have had it with all the fucking asylum seekers coming here and demanding freedom from our people.
