@toxicfire83 well, 2 things from me: 1st: I'm yet to play A.Creed, so, I can't tell you if it has any "similarities", but it gives the impression of a "chase" or trying to find "something" in the middle of anywhere, and... 2nd: Well, they do use them as cellos, so, they must know that they're cellos... or so I think, because, if you hear the "Life Burns", they seem to be more like basses ^____^

i just realised what pickups their using. the Barcus Berry cello pickup system. clamp on pickup with a preamp. retails for about $260 online with preamp and $80 for just the pickup. as for the rest of the equipment it remains a mystery but I'm positive its some high end mixer system and monitors with pedal effects.

If I'm not mistaken, the cello and the "contrabass" are the 2 instruments inside the "string family" that can produce the lower pitches in that family...

As I said a little bit above, in the "Life Burns", it seems almost like a bass, but it's the low pitch notes of the cellos. And also, according to my knowledge, they only use cellos, not "double basses", as I said: According to my knowledge... I may be wrong though...

i dont normally like this music but i have to say that this is pretty darn good. i know this is probably really obvious but the shadows make them look like monks holding crosses which i think is a fantastic metaphor since monks and the like (clergy men etc) dedicated themselves to the cross while for these men their cross is their instrument which i think is great. I'm now most certainly intrigued
