The power setup is what I use on my KX-1 .. a RC lithium battery pack. You can make up a fused cable with deans connectors for the battery. The KX-1 runs at full power for a long time with it.I'm going to have to distract myself from even thinking about the KX-3 for the next 6 months!
Ah you lucky puppy! Budd posted that you and Chris were up at SalmonCon with the #001 KX3 making QSOs. Like many, I wish I would have heard you. I'm sure you had a blast with the latest and greatest from Elecraft
Hi Steve. Very nice to see the KX3 on the field as a real portable radio in use. Who can I ask to test it here in the Caribbean QRN? I can test the DSP to see how good it manage the QRN and the power lines noise here. hi hi..! Good to see you..!
Awesome Steve!!!! I have been camping in the North Bend area many times when i was stationed in Tacoma at Ft.Lewis. Looks like you had a great time and like the KX3 very much lol. 73 de KC9UFV
thanks Steve! don't know if I was happier to hear and OTA demo of the KX3 or see that you are creating ham videos for us again!! that KX3 did sound fine on TX and RX 73 Lynn
That KX3 looks like a nice radio! Very compact and loaded with features! Great for packing around and camping like you do! Have fun with it!
