@487shawn I cannot stand such stupidity, Stalin cannot be compared with Hitler, Stalind killed aproximetally 30 millions most of them were his own, and Hitler according to the Jewish propaganda was responsible for a 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 6 or even 10 million dead Jews(who were responsible for Bolshevism and for 2 world wars), the Americans started a multitude of wars, they have nuked 500.000 civilians, they killed millions and attacked nations that were already at war aiding Bolsheviks,
thanks for uploading. never truly realised and appreciated the courage and genius that is Napoleon Bonaparte. he deserves to be amongst the likes of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Hannibal of Carthage etc.
@Freez57fr Difference here is this: the French were battling to defend their country and to conquer Europe. America is in the BUSINESS of fighting. War is not the same today as it was yesterday. True, America has more losses than it does victories but the battles are more skirmishes than actual battles and they are done merely for resources. Nothing else. They are not supposed to be won these days.
maybe he was great but does this has to do with being the only men who earned his place because he was talented and not the decent of a noble family.
were there great general at his time who held ranks in the army because of their talent. meaninng were there generals talented other than those in france at that time.
yup. the french inch (used before they invented metric) was longer than the english inch, therefore what was 5 ft 2 in french inches was more like 5 ft 7 in english measure.
Thank you so much for posting this. It has helped me so much in studying for an upcoming test. It's made history interesting and come alive. So much better than a boring old text book!
There will never be another battlefield commander like Napoleon again! Initially, he always led his men from the front (like every great commander should) & said he couldn't expect his men to follow him if he himself wasn't willing to lead the charge! The amazing thing about Napoleon was he was also an amazing political administrator who spent countless hours creating new laws & reviewing archetectural designs for new Parisian monuments. He was a perfectionist even in the smallest of details!
someone knows the name of the music at 3:25?

"They haven't seen anything yet! In our time, no one has the slightest conception of what is great. It is up to me to give them an example."
That explains everything. If every American had this attitude, maybe we would actually become the great civilization we think we are.

And Americans say French don't know to fight!!!
I guess it's the failure of their education system!

@hashimirasama
The French won most battles during the Napoleonic wars than the Americans in all their history.

Just from this documentary I have learned several succeeding traitors able to grant vast power onto ordinary men.
1. Be confidant.
2. Attract powerful friends.
3. Think in unorthodox ways.
4. Take advantage of social unrest/general social weakness.
5. Be ruthless.

The best documentary I have seen on
the great Napoleon.Thanks for posting.
Still it irks me when he is called small.
Far as I know he was of medium hight
for males of the era.The rubbish that he
was small had more to do with British
propaganda than fact.
R.I.P. Napoleon the Great.
Keisari70 1 year ago 3
He was really small , it is a fact taken from his grave , small in form but great in power...
