  • Jean Michel Jarre magnifique

  • Hehehehehe, I've never heurd this one before. But its cooool, man, puting in to my favorites. Long live heavy metal! // Alicia Vava

  • This music is timeless , I like it . but it`s not Jarre...

  • @Sirka You are right ! Jean Michel Jarre had play 'Pop Corn' in the 'rareties' LP but this is not this tracks. This one is the 'Pop Corn' of M&H band version

  • stupid version!

  • Jeezus we still arguing over the Kraftwerk/Jarre versions? FFS Its a version by the M&H band-not a bit of Kraftwerk or Jarre near it. A boring argument that's been going for years, lets move on ferfuckssake, it's tiring...?

  • Naaajs :)

  • This music is timeless, no matter how we look at it. The original track is lot more older than me, but I always liked it, I like it now, and I will like it in the future as well! Thank you for uploading!

  • good

  • cool music:)

  • super

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa Space POPCORN!!!!!!!!!

  • h&m band correct but jarre and kraftwerk had a hand in producing this track. this is the 'special dj remix'

  • @robmancs1

Once again, I'd have to ask you to cite evidence of this claim.

I have every M&H Band mix, including this one (which is just the 7" edit) and neither Krafwerk nor Jarre had anything to do with it.

Mark Halliday did the majority of the performance and mixing.

  • J.M Jarre didn't come up with this song at all although it does sound like his work. Popcorn was written by Gershon Kingsley, but the chart topping cover was by Hot Butter.

  • fantastic......no more........fantastic

  • OMG This is EPIC!!! WOW I'm really in love with this song :D

  • Don't know about M&H band - but this sounds very much like the version made by Kraftwerk in the mid 90's - a megahit as far as I remember :)

  • @TheKitbonn have a look at the Q and A on kraftwerks web site.

  • @TheKitbonn

Kraftwerk didn't make a version. This version was released by The M&H Band the late 80s.

  • This is an EP of songs from M & H Band made"popcorn" released in 1988.

  • "❤♫•*❤♫•*❤♫•*❤ Bring it on , YEHA"❤♫•*❤♫•*❤♫•*❤

  • La reprise est bonne mais ce n'est pas Jean Michel Jarre, bien trop loin de son ' style de jeu '.

  • Muzyczka z mario.

  • The origional version of this song was done by a musician called Gershon Kingsley who has one of my favourite musical quotes ever: "Improvised music is just a series of wrong notes played in the right order". Gershon's version is the best and i know there have been many versions of this song.

  • JMJ did play pocorn - under the peudonym "Jamie Jefferson" - but this ain't that version - like it though!

  • this is kraftwerk

  • @ThunderMediaTV wrong, this is lady gaga

  • @ThunderMediaTV

You're incorrect. What is it with this version?

People thinking it's Kraftwerk, other people thinking it's Jarre... :/

It's not as if it even sounds remotely like either!

Probably mis-tagging of MP3s but it isn't even remotely Kraftwerk's style. Jarre even less so!

    It's The M&H Band...

    watch?v=W9xxdKCJhhU

  • hawkwind hörn

  • of course, it is not Jarre

  • best remix ever made from Popcorn

  • Maybe the best version by M&H Band it rocks better than the original

  • Hehe, I love this. Reminds me of my time on various LAN parties where every funny song they didn't know/didn't bother to look up who originally made was labled 'Weird Al' Yancovic.

  • am i the only one who thinks he looks like /Merry or pippin ( cant remember witch one it was) from the Lord of the rings? :D

  • Jean-MICHEL Jarre* --'

  • its made by Gershon Kingsley and they are made over 120 difrent versions of this song hot butters the must fameous version

  • This is a good version of POPCORN, but as said, it's not Jean Michel Jarre.

  • its awfull..only the father of techno like jean michel can do that...excellent song..

  • This song would be write by Gershon Kingsley in 1967. And it will came in 1968. That was the first Popcorn song! :)

  • No... that`s not Jarre... but it`s a real fluffy version of the track. ^^ Like it. But why is there a picture of J.M. Jarre? Next time make a research before. ;)

  • I do have this version of Popcorn as well as the Hot Butter one. Someone put a load of Jarre stuff on for me onto a disc and this was on it. Jean-Michel Jarre showed us his version of Popcorn on one of his previous reincarnations of his website way back in the late ninties but the sound quality then was not very good, so I don't really know if this is a Jarre verson or not. Having said that, I don't think Jarre would have done it this way in spite of his musical unpredicability.

  • This is the M&H Band

THIS VERSION IS NOT MADE BY JARRE

  • Jarre never created Popcorn.

  • This is a Jarre Cover, but the original is by Gershon Kingsley, as correctly stated:D

  • It would be nice to have a version of this which doesn't have that glitch at 4:03 :(

  • @MarkTheMorose - Go to M & H Band and you can get it from that site, no glitch, yw.

  • On a videclip I saw on Youtube some months ago one of Jean Michel Jarre aides Francis Rimbert played Popcorn in his room on a hotel he lived in, so why do ya said JMJ haven't played popcorn :p I have also tried to play popcorn on my Technics KN200 keyboard, but I have made that song :p

  • This version was made by M & H. Band from single Popcorn: Remix Special D'J

  • @djnico0323

  • I totally love this song. Reminds me of crazy frog

  • @acjepsen So you think this song is shit as well?

  • @eldospinks way will i do that when i say that i totally love this song

  • @acjepsen But crazy frog is shit, therefore you must think this song is shit. Not that it is.

  • Great upload! Thanks!

  • very nice sound......

  • Thank you for the show, (-:

  • J.Michel J - he is a genius! god of music!

  • THIS IS Jean Michel Jarre version! Jarre, Jarre and one more Jarre. He is a genius!

  • i kinda like this version - but it's definitely not jarre. M&H? who are they? i doubt this is vangelis either. -djQ

  • Agreed, it's not Jarre, Not a bad version though. Something going wrong halfway through, shame...

  • THIS IS NOT JEAN MICHEL JARRE. This is a cover version by the M&H Band produced in 1988. Google is your best friend.

  • THIS SOUNDS LIKE YELLO!! DEFINITELY IT'S NOT JARRE...

  • This is NOT Jean Michael Jarre, in that I am absolutely sure

  • This is NOT Jean Michael Jarre, in that I am absolutely sure

  • this is the M&H band

  • @QUASARA the M&H band there from France in the 80s

  • Este tema me hace divertir...

  • This is a Kraftwerk ;)

  • though there seems to be a glitch at 4.03

  • The song is graet and it seems to be an extended version of Kraftwerk's Popcorn.

  • Although this theme wasn't composed by Jean Michael Jarre, I can say this version is very good.

  • This is Jean Michael Jarre , bought the cd when it came out...

  • Very king!:)

  • yo, people this is originally from HOT BUTTER - POP CORN - get a grip

  • don't care who made it, I loooove it! <3

  • He stole this from Kanye West

  • M&H Band 's version

  • version from Kraftwerk ?

  • This is most probably M&H band, NOT jarre..

  • SO WHO COMPOSED THIS COVER?!

  • @Psata1

    Kraftwerk i think !

  • @Psata1

    M&H Band

  • Its cool works!

I dont know the arttist, famous person?

  • Kraftwerk?

  • well take it from me , whoever produced this has got all the right kit , and its a ROCKING cover .

  • This is Kraftwerk,Not Jean Michael Jarre!!!

  • @DJSalleStojanovic It IS Kraftwerk you're right !!

  • @unrealaldridgeguy LOL! Yeah right, and why not Klaus Nomi?

  • @DJSalleStojanovic Nonsense. There is no Kraftwerk recording of Popcorn - I have it from the source. :)

  • @DJSalleStojanovic Neither of them, Kraftwerk never played it, and JMJ played an earlier version, a few decades ago.

  • Love this

  • osea palomitas de maiz en español........

  • esta cancion es original de los pekenikes..sólo que versioneada por muchos otros

  • This is by Barela Works done in 1998. He is a famous composer from Colorado.

  • This is M & H Band - PopCorn (extended version)

  • KRAFTWERK ALL THE WAY!!! THEY WERE THE MASTERMINDS OF 70S/80S SYNTH MUSIC. IF THIS IS JARRE....I'LL EAT A MOOG!!!

  • Geshon Kingsley

Is the only Popcorn ♪ ♪

    .

Actualy no , I take that back.

MUSE done a good version too.

    .

This vers is Shiiiiiiiiiite ! !

  • The Best Version is This Kraftwerk - Popcorn

  • why is it called popcorn? kind of a shitty name

  • @bryan350z … The original song (by Gershon Kingsley) was composed based on the popping sound of popcorn being made.

  • some say this is kraftwerk other say its jarre, i wouldent be supprised if someone claimed it was metallica, while it really is M&H band or some ok mix of it

  • this version no jarre and karffwert not to

  • cool

  • By the way - it is M&H. You can find it on YouTube under their name and the album cover is there ...

  • Jarre or not, the electric guitar at the end of this version is awesome and it adds a dimension to the song that I had never heard - and I have listened to many versions of this song in my life starting with the first when I was just 6 :)

  • @4014014: I couldn't agree with you more!

  • i luv this song it is soooooooooooo cool and i wonder why they called it popcorn

  • This is M&H Band.

This doesn't even sound like Jarre's style.

  • No jarre, no vangelis, no kraftwerk...

  • @all here

Where is it now?And the winner take`s all.

Look the other Videos who Kraftwerk the song remixed

  • what? it`s not jarre !!!

  • not jarre!!!

  • @kevpk it is So Jarre

  • game music pliss ;)

  • To me this is the best version of Popcorn.

  • Beautiful!

  • watch my vids

  • Awsome tune!!

  • This is absolutely not a Jarre's work.

Jarre made a cover in the early 70's and of course it can't sound like this one which sounds too much 90's.

The original popcorn was produced by Gershon Kingsley in 1969. The most famous version was produced by Hot Butter in 1972. Both are far far far better than your video and other shit dance music remixes.

  • @Theotim92

    Kraftwerk!

  • @SniperM42a666 kraftwerk never made a mix of this song.

  • @panzerveps

Anyhow i say it is Kraftwerk

  • @Theotim92 Surely this sounds to high tech for the late sixties, but it still was one of the first synthesizer songs created...You can't nearly tell any difference between Jean Michel Jarre's version and the nineties. But sure you can hear that this version is from far later than the 70's, because of the extra input of voices, but that's nearly the only difference. Anyway Go go Popcorn!

  • @Theotim92 This is just YOUR opinion!..Personnally, I find that Jarre magnifies the rythm of this masterpiece by enhancing the staccato...Furthermore, Kingsley never disconsidered Jarre's works, he regards him like another electronic music pioneer...

  • @Theotim92 Right, not Jarres's production! But, IMHO the best cover!

  • @Theotim92 No it's not Jarre's work indeed, it's not Kingsley's as well. There was some page, called earlyrecords (which i couldn't find anymore), where this theme appeared from some noname dude in 50's... This is the best version, no matter who's the main man behind...
