The one thing that blue was missing was putting up a forge in that initial wall in, one cannon behind those structures would have made all the difference. (I checked before posting cause I wasn't 100% sure) Also, if you are using Google Chrome as a browser you get a free proofing tool to check your spelling with. It has several settings for English (US, UK, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zeeland), and if you set it to English (Canadian) it wants you to spell it "flavour". With English (US) it's flavor. I think I won..

@StimPakTskAwwYea zealot wall works really well though....you just have to build a second zealot if zerg continues to be aggro, and just switch the two when shields deplete.

Why are there 4 unnecessary, non-walling pylons that weren't even connecting to the main wall? It wasn't even a point where zerg had to pass, making the lings fight a zlot one at a time....400 minerals in a tight game like this, plus suiciding the zlots afterwards was what lost him the game.

The protoss probably assumed that the Zerg was all-in on his cheese and didn't think he would have had anything to macro back at home. If he were right, he would've won easily with those zealots because there'd be nothing. But still, he should've turned back when he realized that that wasn't the case.

I'm having a hard time calling this cheese..to me it looks like early pressure. The goal here was economic damage, not total victory. The drones did add DPS, but there was nothing that could destroy them if they where micro-ed correctly.

The first attack technically did fail. And the zerg was still in it. Isn't the purpose of early pressure to 'sacrifice a little of your economy, to hurt your enemies even more'?

Toss lost because of a bad counter attack and build order, not zerg cheese.

This is why you don't FE with gateways instead of a forge. Just 1 well-placed cannon would have shut that down.

Or even going with what he did, if he'd just backed off with the zealots once he saw the crawlers instead of engaging like a complete retard, he could have at least bought himself time to rebuild with map control.

I used to 10pool all my games. When you're in the lower leagues you just win half your games with the initial rush, you can still drone up because you got map control when you can't do that much damage. It also protects you against any early cheese like cannon rush, proxies, etc... I wouldn't really call it cheese, it's an aggressive opening but even without scouting you should be able to stop it. Not all aggressive things before the 10 minute mark are cheese.

The zerg shouldn't have engaged those zealots when the wall went down and could possibly sneak in an expo if he didn't bring drones, although the defense would have been harder to pull off. But yeah, it doesn't really matter. Overall he did exactly what he should have done.

@TheMusZero you should scout the ffe before your pool is done so worst case you have an earlier queen and a slightly delayed expo. It's not optimal, but not a disaster either. Like I said it works very well in the lower leagues, not as much in the higher ones. Even if you commit to the 10pool you might be able to do some serious damage with a baneling bust because they can't force field fast enough.

That protoss was pathetic. Engaging 3 spines with a small handful of zealots will never work. He could have done ANYTHING at that point, even put down that nexus while having the zealots defend, but no, he had to go engage 3 spines. Deserved to lose.
