Do you feel you can accurately predict the gingival recontouring with a laser? Instructors at my dental school have said stay away from lasers and electrosurgery units due to this. Curious as to what your experience & results have been.

@MrAwishart lasers cut with extreme accuracy and that is because they will vaporize cell layers with a very minimal zone of necrosis. Electrosurge units have a large zone of necrosis and thus have unpredictable healing as far as what will remain. Diode lasers are way less traumatic and the cost is very competittive now and even though more than electrosurge worth the difference.

I dont understand why did you have to retract the marking apically? Was it necessary for the veneers resto? Can you brake it down into procedures pls?

That is between the patient and her restorative dentist. I thought the shade was on the yellow side myself.
