  • How did I end up from "Miley Cyrus" to here? O.o

  • what was the midwife doing when she used that machine on you?

  • @Ticklelovesyou listening to babies heartbeat

  • 99% + 1% =100% cute

  • I'm new to your channel and watching you do this just amazes me! You are so strong! Also, your midwifes seem so sweet. If you have anymore children would you choose home-birthing again? Where your other two children home-births?

You have a new subbie!! :]

  • @purplezebra1422 I would never have another child if I couldn't birth at home. It's teh ONLY option for me.

  • I think I made my way over to the weird part of YouTube

  • @peymaania why would you want to kill a baby? Just wondering..

  • baby not cute when just born

  • un accouchement quoi

  • Push

    Sexy

  • good job

  • interesting video and very informative

  • @peymaania LOL right? In Canada YES!

  • your baby was born on my 20th Bday :D congrats!

  • I would so much like my wife to give birth like this but it looks... hard to me. You know, I´ll not be the one feeling whatever she´s feeling and I don´t know if that is worse. Like "What exactly are you feeling now?" etc. "Is every thing ok?" I can imagine my heart. Anyway, many experts say this way is better.

  • @quieromicubita Its worth every bit of pain, short lived pain.

  • have you had an epideral birth?

  • Wow! Your midwives are so caring! They seem more like moms taking care of their daughter than midwives!

  • Natural twin delivery

  • Your midwives seem really sweet. would you say a homebirth is more comfortable than a hospital birth?

  • @lonlyghostgirl 100%

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx great thanks!

  • idiots

  • pujaa

  • this is kind of awkard ?

  • this baby was born on my 16th birthday! goooo baby!

  • I stalled out at 9cm with my son (baby #2). I was in the hospital at the time and they kept threatening to take me for a c-section. So one of the nurses helped me out and kinda forced me into 10cm. You are so brave to have your baby at home like this! I'm extremely terrified of pain and i don't handle it well. Maybe with baby #3 i'll be able to face my fear and put together a home birthing team as great as yours!

  • by MW....do you mean Modern Warfare????

  • @whitesnake6363 midwife

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx hahahha okkk :P

  • SUB ME

  • wth

  • 싫어여

  • look as sweet daddy craking is knuckles haha..

this is and all of your videos are beautiful

  • @leanghiapii Thank you!

  • i did that with my legs too help the pain you are so chilled

  • Omgosh I didn't know labor could stall out at 8cm!!!! That's crazy!!!!! You poor thing :(

  • @tigerlilly699 It stalled at 5 w/ my 1st daughter & 6 w/ my son, might as well be 8 cm w/ my 2nd daughter. Lord help me if I had another, what would happen? stall at 9 cm, ha

  • the quietness an the incredible support of your midwives and support team made me tear up!

  • @MommaBeiler Awe

  • put up part 4 .

  • @star11524 don't be rude

  • What a tuff momma!

  • Great job Lucy! Your birth team were amazing - so supportive and loving.

  • @TheLifeInTheNorth Very supportive & loving

  • Well done Lucy. At this point you must of been soooo tired. Well done Joel too great supportive hubby you have there. Cant wait to watch part 3. Have you choose Peyson's middle name yet. I still like Summer but Hope is cute too.

  • @02elise1 I was VERY tired...at points in my labor I was about to nod off right into the pool I was so exhausted. It got to the point I could barely hold my self up if at all.

  • thanks for sharing, this brings back so many memories :)

  • Its really crazy you can be the strongest woman but when it comes to birth you really need a team of people to support such a hard thing...its always worth it of course just the pain and the exhaustion mommys always need that support during this time....

  • @EmLovescrazy Support is a must!

  • This is so random but i love how you edit the videos how you cut out parts and get to write things in them...i wish i could learn but it seems hard lol

  • @EmLovescrazy just play around w/ windows movie maker

  • Do you know exactly what the midwife did to move bubs hand from out of the way? it looked painful for you :( Thanks for sharing!

  • @summerchic21 Not sure...I think she was just poking back at her trying to get her to retract her hand by making her uncomfortable feeling w/ it being where it was.

  • You did amazing Lucy!! Thanks for sharing this!

  • @amyNcharlie Thanks!

  • Stupid. Her body is still like PERFECT!! So jealous. I looked like a road map at that point.

  • @TheMarcellusFamily .....who said I didn't have a road map? lol It's on my rear ;) I promise ha

  • Were you ever worried about having a surprise complication? I'm asking because, me sister and bf both hemorrhaged badly during childbirth and needed a transfusion, and my DD had IUGR which could have killed her.

  • @queeenpammie No bc my MWs are trained to take care of complicatinos & I had the best prenatal care. I hemorrhaged w/ my 1st daughter at birth & postpartum twice so I know all too well what that is like & I firmly beleive in prevention, it can be prevented w/ proper prenatal care. For me that has stood true w/ the following two PG/birth/postpartums I have had since her.

  • beautiful! thank you for sharing :-)

I feel with you, I have 2 babygirls.

My first was a csection and 2nd was normal but that was just 9 hours.

o and btw peyson is so BEAUTIFUL!! congrats!

  • @xXxfaykexXx thanku

  • WOW! I look forward to part 3.

  • @dreamflight6000 :) soon!

  • Thank you so much for posting these... I an expecting my first in January, and am determined (unless medically necessary) to give birth naturally... This inspires me to say I can do it!

  • @dianavenegasbutt Good Luck hun!!!!

  • i had nubane, then epideural, after 10 hours iw as completely dilated and the epi was fading away and i begged for more meds. I was so nervous about any pain. I pushed my boy out w/i half hour with the smallest third degree tear. The perineal massage helped loads considering this was my first vaginal birth. my first was a csecction sept 2009. I never heard of being in labor 4 days until i went thru it n now i see that you did too. what made u stick to ur guns n NOT give up? wud u do it again?

  • @paprichaat5 For me it was easy to not give up as this IS the ONLY option I would ever consider. To me hospital is like punishment, torture & the last place I'd want to be. Period.

  • unbelievable lucy. when i went thru labor for 3 days straight at home, on the fourth day i gave up and told my husband to take me to the hospital for pain meds. I was emotionally exhausted not to mention physically. When we got to the hospital i told the nurse to shoot something in my veins or thigh before registering me. I was having a strong fear of pain on day 4. I was 1cm until day 4 when it was too much to bear, when they checked me, i was 2.5cm. I was ecstatic believe it or not

  • @paprichaat5 It is emotionally exhausting when you have a long labor :( very draining physically as well.

  • Your birth team seem so wonderful and caring! (:

  • @TheHarlequinade Very much so

  • Lovely job, Lucy! Joel seemed to be such a calm presence for you. Made my teary eyed. Looking forward to part 3. Thanks for sharing your journey!

  • @delia5588 THank You! He is :)

  • I never considered a home birth but it looks so intamate, and peaceful. Ill deff try for that next time. Congrats again hun!!!:)

  • @melmel0417 It is! It's great :)

  • Hey Lucy! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! You did an awesome job being in labour for that long without any meds! All thumbs up! ;) Was it distracting or weird for you knwing the kids were around? Or were they somewhere else during labour?

  • @TheresaCharlotte They were in the room next door & I couldn't handle them being any further than that.....there was one point in my labor where I just got sad b/c I missed them. It had been like 8 hrs & thats the longest I've ever gone w/ out seeing them even though they were in the room next door & I knew that I just missed them so much & wanted nothing more than to just hold & hug them.

  • I was getting into it to cnt wait for the next :)

  • @tpcsliji I'm almost done editing the next part

  • Was your midwife doing acupressure during your contractions? If I remember right where she is pushing on your hand is a great point for making contractions more productive. Anyway, I love how calm you were able to stay throughout! That's so important to stay relaxed and trust your body. Congrats!

  • @RaxterRiley I have psi bands on for the acupressure, but as for them holding my hands they were making sure I didn't clench up & pull away from the contraction by squeezing my hand for me so I didn't feel the need to squeeze their hand. ;)

  • Lucy, you're so amazing!

  • @BeckyNoLimits Thank you

  • Luck, you're so amazing!

  • Your so strong, looks like such an intimate experience. Joel is a great husband to be by your side.

  • @Lovesenduringpromise I agree! Thank you!

  • Omg that's the first time i've seen you in pain and I felt really bad for you.

  • @ilovehandbags06 It's a good pain though....each one brought me closer to my baby.

  • I share ur passion for being a mother unfortulatly ive hit a brick wall with my ttc i have 3 kids at the moment but trying for number 4 seems impossible as i keep misscarying i love watching your vlogs and they give me the drive to not give up thanks for sharing your beautifull journey :)

  • @t3agz I am so sorry to hear that hun! Miscarriages (to any good mother) are never easy to cope with :( especially when your TTC and you really really really want that baby :( Good Luck on your TTC!

  • Congrats!!!!!

  • @The339966 Thank You

  • Oh wow amazing video! You really are so inspiring, I have already been noting down tips I've seen in your vids for my next preg/birth - the wristbands will def feature in my next labour. Actually so so so impatient for part 3!!! Hope you're enjoying your precious baby xxx

  • @emmafield82 Psi Bands ;)

  • I wonder who got it worse.... I was practically screaming throughout the whole labor. XD

  • @alin543 Oh I had my moments!

  • Swimming when you were so far dilated.... that was brave!

    Well done you.

I may have missed this in other videos.... did you do it analgesia free? x

  • @Chez2k3 Yah, I was a little fearful my water would break in their pool but after how rude they were I almost didn't care at one point, lol. You can't have drugs at home, it was 100% drug free, not even a tylenol.

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx :-) Oh right I didn't know that home births had to be completely drug free in the USA. In UK we can have gas and air - but not sure about other stuff. That was the case when I was practicing my midwifery anyway (been a few years since now). Well done. You did fab!

  • @Chez2k3 Oh yah, it's 100% drug free.

  • you did so well

  • @xxmamachris1xx Thank You!

  • maybe its just me, but my first thought was "primitive". For me childbirth belogs in hospitals.

  • @luna8nova Ack! Hospital is like jail in my opinion lol

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx rather that than surrending my life and my unborn child's life in the hands of some MW's that in case of emergency couldnt act fast enough to save us. And then what? I think the choice of choosing a home birth delivery is more related to cultural/social environments. Everything aside though, you were quite brave. Congrats!

  • @luna8nova We have a hospital next door but my MWs are trained for almost every complication there is :)

  • You did so wonderfully cant wait to see the next part! Saw the video your photographer did and it is beautiful!

  • @meggyloo22 Thank You!

  • That looks really painful, and I'm glad Joel was there with you through the labor.. Did Jace or Kace interrupt at any point of time?

  • @agneslaura10 nope

  • Thank you for sharing! Your birth stories have opened my eyes to natural birth and home birth. I was afraid of a natural birth and now I understand what a beautiful experience it is and how our body and baby know what to do, we just have to trust. You are an inspiration. Congrats on your wonderful family.

  • @xomisskimmxo You very much must trust your body b/c ultimately it knows what to do when you don't...it was designed to birth babies...we were meant for this. Nature is amazing!

  • SO amazing you are so calm , this is really beautiful!! Thanks for sharing so much!!

  • @Jalynn99 :)

  • Aww watching this makes me sooo sad knowing I have to be gutted like a hog to have my children.. I had my first csection 9/1/09.. Now expecting #2 in March 2012.. I wish I could do something more natural.. but me pelvis is soo narrow my 6lb 12oz son couldn't fit thru.. and I am 4' 11".. My mom went thru the same thing must be hereditery.. Is the next part going to be up anytime soon? Love watching these!

  • @aliciash Can you not do a vbac or do you not feel comfortable w/ the risk it poses? Regardless Good Luck hun :) In the end all anyone wants is a healthy baby in our arms ;)

  • What was that wristband you were using? how did it work and where can you purchase them :)

  • @Feelingbetterful psi bands-anti nausea - online

  • @xalexandchrisx there is a yt mom that has had 2 vbacs I believe.. Her yt name is Lynqtpie301 :)

  • Wow, you did good. Before my Hunny seen your video he was convinced of a hospital birth now he is more into the home birth I've always wanted thanks.

  • @kimberleymh :) GL hun!

  • Ur belly while ur in the water totally look's like she's moving like crazy in there. Or was it the the water moving around?

  • @TheZeboobooz oh she DEFINITELY was moving like crazy....i think i spent half my labor complaining about how freaking bad she hurt my moving around during contractions...it hurt the worst!

  • U are a strong women. My boyfriend and i have been ttc for two yr's and i lose home ever time i see a nagtive test. Sometime's watching video's like this give me more hope again. Once again, Congrats! I dont know if i could have been as strong.

  • @TheZeboobooz Good Luck w/ ur TTC journey! Lots of baby dust & sticky vibes hun!!!

  • Omg followed from the very beginning and congrats

  • @BLOODS411 thank you

  • Thank you for sharing this video :)

  • I saw that you had taken cotton root bark, I took that also to help induce labor and it really got things going for me, did it get things going for you as well? If not then what was the one thing that you felt made contractions pick up or was it a combo of all the things that were being done?

  • @abbrarogers cervical pressure points for sure

  • Aww so beautiful. :)

  • Well I plan on vlogging pretty soon bc my husband is joining the Air Force and we are in San Antonio right now. We aren't TTC until Jan once we get based...pray that he leaves Tuesday so we can TTC in DEC! Lol

  • @xalexandchrisx I hope u get ur TTC/Dec!!!!!!!

  • @Nicciii It makes a difference when ur in ur own home w/ amazing support

  • oh gosh you do soo good thats amazing i wish i was as strong as you i would love love to do a home birth! Congrats on your beauitful baby girl!

  • @9021kayla Thank U!

  • was it offputting having the camera flash all the time like that??

  • @MissCarly84 The 1st 2 times it was but more as a shock, once ur in the zone u don't even notice it...not at all. I wanted the flash though, pics look better!

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx I want my mum to take photos, I hope it doesnt annoy me either! your right the flash does make the pics look better!

  • I absolutely love your midwives, and I've never met them. lol. They're so calm and serene, and there just letting you do your thing. Just beautiful !!!

  • @lady11love Yep, they're amazing

  • you and joel are soo cute. i love how he was there with you when you were in pain. you two as far as i can see are amazing parents:) this pregnancy was so fun to follow and thank you so much for sharing!!! how long was your labor though if you dont mind sharing? BUT SERIOUSLY LUCY+JOEL=CUTEST COUPLE EVER:)

  • @turnersteel1 5 days, but as for this last part 10:50pm to 8:19am (she was born) but the MWs didn't leave till like 1pm once everything was done

  • i just kept saying wow! i can do that! i know i can do that! with #1 i got an epi at 7cm and then that stalled my progress which then i had an "emergency" c/s! next time the goal is to VBAC and avoid intervention!(wish there was a YT mom that had a VBAC) joel is such a sweet husband and seems like he was an amazing partner to birth with! Such an inspiring woman you are Lucy!

  • @xalexandchrisx He is! Maybe there will be a vbac momma soon?

  • Oh I remember those moans all too well! I also remember crying through several contractions, I couldn't help it, the exhaustion and pain just overwhelmed me sometimes. The birth pool looks like it felt good! I only had my bath tub to labor in (so the water didn't surround me as well as the pool) and I spent quite a while in there cause it felt so good! Can't wait for part three!!!

  • @luvuhunny It felt amazing! I wish it was a little longer though

  • Awww!!! this brings me back to my labors :( Yours was so much more calmer then mine though... I was writhing around on the bed, crying and asking my husband to HELP ME over and over again :(

  • @aussiegrrrrrrrl Oh i repeated my fair share of phrases.....lol

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx lol!! :)

  • @aussiegrrrrrrrl you'll see what I mean in the upcoming clips...ha

  • what is arnica?

  • @momtoallboys herbal medicine for swelling

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx thanks!

  • i love how peaceful and calm it was.

  • @XxGlitterfulxX the advantage to being home

  • I'm like you though, I would definitely want it documented ESPECIALLY since it was such a long and intense labor. You can't re-live it so you might as well document it. Congrats though she's beautiful just like the other two :]

  • @hollyisme088 :) TY!

  • Were Jace and Kace sleeping during the whole labor?

  • @JenNTim509 Yes it was like 2-4AM during these clips

  • @jennasmommy0718 He is a great deal of support!

  • awwww, I was choking up a bit too, I remember it like it was yesterday, (technically one month), but I love how supportive and great Joel is to you! Great job!!!!! Ps, LOVE the Dora blanket, lol CANT wait to see pt 3!!!

  • @MelB0610 lol technically one month, still very fresh & vivid in the brain uh? Dora was pretty supportive too I suppose ;)

  • @xxxjoelpolexxx VERY fresh in the brain, it's funny how your mind forgets but yet remembers soo much... Your little gal is a week old now, sooooooo crazy! 3weeks younger than my baby girl! R u planning on updating on her/postpartum soon?:)

  • @MelB0610 yes tomorrow

  • lol when you said you have a lot of clips you really meant a lot lol but i am anticipating every video you did amazing! <3

  • @hollyisme088 haha Ummm yah, like 5 days worth! It's a TON of footage to go through b/c the camcorder was CONSTANTLY running, and on top of that I had a 2nd camcorder that a friend was using from another angle so it's double the footage of this VERY LONG labor ha

  • Talk about a cliff hanger! You are so strong and just watching these videos takes me back to my natural birth 16 months ago! It makes me envious to an extent because Joel is such an amazing support! I had my mama & my sisters and they did great, but at the same time I felt alone...weird, right?! I wish I could find a guy like Joel...would you mind just cloning him and sending him my way, lol! Great job Lucy! You did great!
