I just uploaded an update for SynthX for iPad that addresses the issues seen on the iPad 2. This includes the clicking and popping you describe. The update will be available after it passes Apple's reviewers.
love the app,but lots of distortion. Tried all the volume controls and reset the pad still very snappy and crackly.Using ipad2 32 gig all other apps are fine. Noticed waveform display is very hot

this is great! totally new way to play a keyboard. is there a way to record the MIDI data and export it? that would be a good feature.

If I had an iPad i'd buy it right now. I love your idea of visualizing the sounds! I've always hoped someone would create something like this!
