This is an interesting episode because Yoshinobu Nishizaki was extremely anti american.Even the Americanized white washing such as putting the focus of the story on the crew instead of the ship doesn't quite change his message of equating america with gamilon. Conroy's accusations mirror his feelings but overlook the fact our nuclear attacks were the end result of Japan's cowardly attack on Pearl Harbor while we were negotiating peace.
