There's no way to get a CD drive in this. the battery takes up way too much space. The internals are a bit cramped. But at roughly 5-7 hours of battery life, I'll take, buying an external CD drive and making ISO images of my games.

I just got one and I love it. Though I did put black tape over the alienware logo at the bottom of the screen. No need to advertise to me while I play since I already own one. It's a tad annoying lol. Otherwise, this is the best laptop I've ever owned
from 0.55 - 0.58 notice the leds underneath the spacebar are not functioning !!! there are meant to be 4... and as you can see 2 of them are very dim and only the 3rd one is lit up, and the 4th one completely dead.

I think you need the 4gig sticks. I think there's only two slots. So if you got it with 4 gigs then it's probably two 2gig taking up both the slots.. Which is probably why the 8 gigs costs so much.

I just like the fact that it's lightweight (unlike my Asus G51Vx/G60Vx), and it's ettiquette towards gamers still applies. I can actually carry it around no prob the M11x weighs 4.5Lbs and my Asus G51x weighs 10.5Lbs. I would still buy it though just to take it everywhere with me.

Dude the M11x has a gay ass graphics card! It's only carrying a nVIDIA Geforce GT 335m! Mine carries the Geforce GTX 260m and my system also has better resolution and it's only $150-$200 bucks more expensive.

You should get the intel core 2 duo, it is better, and a larger cache does help, it uses the graphics card better than the Pentium processor.

really cause they don't say the cheapest 12" or 11" laptop in the universe do they! And even if it is 1.3GHZ it is still reasonably strong and because it has a dual core. Just because you can't even afford doesn't mean it is bad! It has a 3mb cache. and it is 11" ultraportable so it has 1GB of nVidia graphics they aren't the nicest but they are nice for the size. What you seem to not realize is i don't care about your computer at all!!! You need to stop being a little prick.

I already own a powerful Asus gaming Notebook, an Asus 22" 1650x1050 monitor thats mounted on my wall. surround sound and soon I'll get the M11x which I "do" want so that I can travel with the thing. Why is everyone bad commenting on me, why does the truth hurt? I have a nVIDIA Geforce gtx 260m 1GB I like nVIDIA cards, you just have selective thoughts.

just because it says 1.3 Ghz doesnt mean its shit, its just like saying "OMG intel core i7-720QM is 1.6 Ghz... may aswell have a atom" the reasoning is not there. its not THAT bad, you have to look at FSB, Cores and cache before you can make a judgement like that.

Dude the M11x has a gay ass graphics card! It's only carrying a nVIDIA Geforce GT 335m! Mine carries the Geforce GTX 260m and my system also has better resolution and it's only $150-$200 bucks more expensive.

@r2hMisTaKeN ACTUALLY notebooks are referred to as laptops that have either a non atom processor or more than one gb of ram. Netbooks are small laptops and notebooks are laptops that arent netbooks. This alienware is NOT a netbook because a netbook is defined as having 1 gb ram, windows starter, and an atom. Seeing how this NOTEBOOK has none of these, it is not a netbook, it is a notebook.

Hell yeah, you can get a real badass one called an Asus G51Vx or the G60Vx it has nVIDIA Geforce GTX 260m graphics card 1000MB of DDR2 or 3 memeory (ID remember.) Great resolution 1366x768. And it's about $850-$900. I have one. And I plan on getting the Alienware M11x too!
