  • I miss having a national team with Brian and Michael Laudrup and Peter Schmeichel. I was so proud to be a dane :P

Christian Eriksen seems very talented and I hope he becomes great. But to compare him to Brian or Michael... Well, it just seems like blasphemy to me.

  • 4:00 MEEP MEEP...

  • wwwyoutubecom /watch?v=zybBXABmHd4&feature=related none of brian at rangers, but still a great compilation of brian

  • I doubt we'll see the likes of him at Ibrox again. What a player.

  • what is the name of this song

  • man was a fuckin god

  • 0:40 lets all do the dioufy

  • Fail Goalkeeper at 4:18

  • If only the Laudrup brothers brought a World Cup to their country... They would be recognized as one of the top 5 best of all times... These guys were phenomenal...

  • u2 music? to a rangers video? i thought the gers hated anything irish.just asking like.i'm a newcastle fan but love rangers

  • @az093658

Absolutely not mate. It's the so-called 'plastic paddies' we have a problem with.

Those 2nd, 3rd and even further back generation 'Irish'.

Born in Scotland but wave Irish tricolours rather than a Saltire and certainly

    never a Union Flag.

Check out the Scottish Cup final 2002.

My mum's from an Irish catholic family, she was proud to be Scottish :-)

  • @az093658 your a sad,,bigoted cunt....trolling on how many videos you loser....

  • @1984ioc i'm sad? are you sure of that, you dirty southern irish peado

  • Fuck Larson!

    After Davie, The best.

  • He's Godlike...pure class...made everyone else look stupid on the pitch.

  • One of two of the best scandanavians* to have graced the scottish game, the other being Larsson.

Looking back, thats was when scottish football was at its height. Good times that will sadly never be achieved again :(

    *spelling fail?

  • Best player I ever saw playing for Rangers. I feel sorry for Rangers fans growing up today. I took for granted watching the likes of Laudrup, Gascoigne, McCoist, Albertz, De Boer and Mols

  • @bournestwin I know what you mean. Rangers and Celtic are just awful now and they could never hold onto players like laudrup these days. anytime they are able to attract a really good player, one that stands out he is just using them as a stepping stone to the premiership.

  • Lauders triped me up accidentaly outside Ibrox one day.... stood on my foot and i went crashing to ground.... he was gutted, picked me up with both hands off from the ground appologising constantly.... i was the happiest 12 year old you could imagine. . . I've never been so happy to fall on my arse in all my life !!! haha.

was my own fault really ... desperate to get his autograph. Gentleman and true proffesional. Thank you Brian. :-)

  • @mrbassman25

P.S ... the same evening Andy Goram came out with two big carrier bags full of clincking/clattering booze bottles...

"Is that for the weekend Andy?" asked a supporter....

"Are you kidding?" says Andy ... " This is just for This Evening"

haha.... happy days being a young Gers season ticket holder. Although we were shit in Europe... we had a crackin team with fantastic players. Then we get to Uefa final on a skeleton skint squad.

It's a funny old game indeed

  • the number 11 was design to be on Brian's strip no other number could withstand his class

  • The vision of a world-class midfielder, the dribbling of a world-class winger, and the finish of a world-class striker. Two feet as well. One of the best players ever to grace the Scottish game. Get well soon Brian.

  • I had my hands in ma heid with that first goal there. What can you say? Brilliant player! Hope he kicks that cancer tae fuck and gets well soon. God Bless you Brian.

  • well said mate cheers

  • 1 WORD......LEGEND

  • there's 13 jelous, bitter Tims out there that dislike this video.

  • Get well soon brian. Absolutely Fantastic player and a Gentleman

  • Not taking anything away from him, but not as entertaining to watch as his brother.

Both were great though, I acknowledge.

  • @DuncanHennessy True Micheal was the better player technically but Brian was a better athlete and the better goal scorer.

  • Brian You are a legend you will beat this no bother!

    Get well soon mate!

    Watp

  • Your much stronger than cancer....you'll beat it no bother!

    Get well soon Brian!

  • a truly Rangers LEGEND, the greatest signing RFC ever made, ashame he left we could really do with him these days

  • His sheer class is a rarity nowadays!

Get well soon, Brain terror to the hoops :D

    P.S. U2...a bit ironic?

  • world class

  • Get well soon Brian.

  • hope the rangers lads dont mind a celtic season ticket holder popping in..we went through it with alan stubbs and more recently big john hartson and when i heard brian laudrup had cancer i was gutted..probably the one thing everyone would fear the most..cancer anywhere is a horrible illness and brian will have to be up for his best performance..never mind the muppets that undoubtedly will turn up..i and alot of other celtic season ticket holders i know wish brian laudrup all the best GOD BLESS

  • @4YaPloNo1 Well said mate.

  • @chommy not a problem fair is fair...the guy is not well and i wish him all the best

  • @4YaPloNo1

And bless you all from a guy in Denmark. All you scotts have a BIG heart. Blue and green scotts. We all bleed red. thx for caring m8 and all of your m8´s.

  • @4YaPloNo1 Football comes right out the window when it comes to cancer mate. I'm a Rangers man but I was praying for Hartson and Stubbs.

  • @4YaPloNo1 well said sir, thankfully he has been given the all clear.

  • get well soon brian your a legend m8

    no surrender

  • a true rangers legend & a true gentleman, loved watchin this genius

  • One of the best to grace the Scottish game. Get well soon Brian.

  • great player great guy, he'll destroy cancer the way he destroyed defences:with grace and bravery

  • Legend,

    Get better soon.

The Cancer Doesn't stand a chance.

    Brian Laudrup Rangers Legend.

  • @paulrfc53 laudrup was a class act,im a celtic man but loved watching this guy play, great great player would have loved to see him and larsson in same team,he will beat cancer no doubts about it

  • @paulrfc53 Well, i think his brother is a little better :p

  • All the best Brian,

I just know that you'll come out of this fine.

Great, Great Ranger, footballer and lovely person.

Love to you, your family, and whoever you believe in.

    RFC WATP.

  • get well soon brian laudrup. the best player to ever play in scotland

  • Hi Brian, fight the cancer. We know You can do it!

  • Lol,he was way better than Messi, incredible speed with and incredible shot...I've heard he got cancer, but not so complicated...hope he'll be okay...Great player!!!

  • 12 w.ankers didn't like this video? For f.ucks sake, this is Brian Laudrup we have here. As I used to call him in the Daily Record hotline: Scotlands Player of the Century!! God Bless.

  • Brian Laudrup is the greatest player that i have ever seen play the game!!! Long Live The Laudrup!!!

  • easily the best rangers player ive ever seen

  • Cruijff , laudrup , Iniesta gotta love barca midfield

  • @moluksefreefighter01

You meen Michael Laudrup, this is Brian.

  • @oOCBo yes your right i ment michael

  • he's the true celshit killer

  • the man was a fuckin genius.

  • Great FOOTBALL there Brian

  • its when you watch clips like this that you realise how shite scottish football has become. These were great days....

  • sad to think that rangers will probs never see players like that again

  • all us gers remember cooper but im sorry laudrup is the best winger we ever had the man is GOD

  • Larson was very dangerous infront of goal and scored alot, but when brian recieved the ball you never knew what was going to happen, he was so unpredictable. and thats what makes him better than larson imo!

  • Larsson vs Laudrup. It's a no contest. Laudrup is the best player ever to play in Scotland. Correct me if im wrong but i don't think laudrup ever played in the SPL?

  • Think he was the second best ever, only Jesper Olsen was better imo..

  • He just made it look so easy. Best player in the SPL by a long way.

  • I agree. He was way too good for the SPL, but then again, he found his "new home" in Scotland, coming from the hell of Italy, where he both in Milan, but certainly in Fiorentina had a rough time. I'm quite sure it isn't funny to be forced to hide in a trunk due to retarded mad fans...

  • Regi Blinker was better.

  • i think either larsson or laudrup could have walked into any team in europe in the heyday im just happy to have got to watch em play in the old firm.

  • it aint called soccer you prick, its called football. and only american sports are for girls, i mean, how much protection equipment do you need? we don't play with protection equipment. and since you know what black german meat is, then it must be you who likes it.

  • it looks like soccer to me, maybe some thing gets lost in the translation? thanks for calling me a prick you bloody prick !

  • it looks like soccer to me. school girls play it in America.

  • Bla bla blahhh - go play some dodgeball or whatever you do. Please keep your dirty deep fried fingers out of our beautiful sport and go jerk off in a cheeseburger or something.

  • "Soccer"!! Pfff!

  • @fackwayne: its still bloody soccer. how's the horse meat tasting there these days? refering to the testicles and sheaths you all are so fond of. aye wot?

  • Im not british however - you need to improve on your research if you want to sound like an adult, Mr. Mackey.

Also, you still need to stop calling it soccer... You don't call your penis "wiener" and that sort of things anymore, do you?

  • thing*

  • @fackwayne : no i dont call it my "wiener". i call it my fackwayne.

its a round ball, cant use your hands, no protective gear.......SOCCER.

  • @fackwayne Omg. The best flame EVER on Youtube! Goddamn.

  • Great video. Cheers.

In terms of Larsson vs Laudrup... Toughie. Different types of players, but both a class above anything we'll see in Scotland again!

  • Comment removed

  • Laudrup for me. I genuinely believe this, then again I'm a Rangers man.

I'd back up Laudrups case in saying he done it against a good Celtic side where as in general the Rangers teams that Larsson came up against were mince.

  • @colingb90 Laudrup every time, Larsson was an outstanding striker - Laudrup was an outstanding footballer. Intelligent, fast, two footed, able to turn defenders in a split second, I'm 25 and he is easily the best player I've ever seen in the SPL in my lifetime.

  • laudrup v larrson hard to separate 2 greats but will scotland ever see players in that calibre again dont think so only if we can improve our youth systems and bring through players like cooper anddurranty of rangers and jinxy and george connellys of celtic but i dont see it

  • do me a favour...

  • yassssssssssssss, U2 teh rebels

  • get this music tae fuck

  • I miss this guy at the gers xx

  • We are not worthy

  • legend

  • hope he and michael going to ibrox for management

  • Best player ever to have played in the Scottish league.

Gascoigne was amazing, Larsson was world class, but Laudrup had that extra class and if he was 27 or so just now, he'd walk into any team in the world.

I know a lot of people wouldn't agree with this, but I'd choose him over the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, both who are amazing players, but with Laudrup, as soon as you seen his name on the team sheet, you just knew you'd win.

  • Larsson v Laudrup, of course Ill go with Henke but Ill not deny that Laudrup was also a World Class player the likes of which we may never see again in teh SPL

  • Hard to compare them, Laudrup I'd say was the more skilful player, more likely to beat a man, put in good crosses and the like, Larsson was more likely to score goals, hard to argue with that scoring record.

It's sorta funny, all these Italians, Brazilians, Germans, Spaniards and whatever that have played in Scotland, and two of the three world class players to have played here in recent years have been Scandinavian.

  • and both World class at the top of their game while playing here, I doubt we will see one true world class player in our league again never mind two.

Gascoigne however imo was on the way down when he came to Scotland.

  • Possibly, but he was able to beat half a team seemingly without much effort, I'd have liked to see what kind of player he'd have been if he wasn't such a mess in his personal life, drinking, overeating and all that.

Not sure if he would be better or not, I guess some people are better with their demons than without.

  • Brazilians in Scotland? When?

  • Emerson, Juninho and Rafael, two of which were capped by Brazil.

There have been more at the non Old Firm clubs too, but thought I'd just mention the bigger names.

None of the three done much really.

  • wait celtic had rafael SCHITE. SHITE BY NAME SHITE BY NATURE. lol

  • judas!

  • Idiot! i am not referring to Laudrup.

  • huh?

  • excellent player!

  • come to think of it.. 2 brothers, at that standard in football.. thats just sick. !

  • brian, legend at rangers

    michael, legend at barcelona

and both at the national team.. we really need such players at the moment.

  • still the best player ive ever saw in scotland, closely followed by Gascoigne

  • If Laudrup had stayed on like Advocaat wanted him to we would have ruled britain with a Team of Klos,Porrini,Amo,Moore,Numan,Albertz,Gio,Fergie,Tugay,Laudrup and Mols Upfront.

  • i think we'd have ruled it if mols hadent been injured imo.

  • Laudrup bros was and is the pride of danish football and even if most agree's that Michael was the best you have to consider that they were very different in how they played. Michael was a typical 80ies central offensive midfielder and playmaker where Brian was more a winger/forward.

  • Michael's main weapons was his masked passing and that he was very good at protecting the ball and ofcourse his understanding of the game.

Brians main force was his speed with the ball. Overall he's about average in speed but running with the ball he's almost as fast as without and he had kinda the same understanding of the game like Michael .. just less displayed due to different role.

  • Sadly Brian retired at a fairly early age (31 if I remember correctly) IMO he could easily have played 2-3 more seasons but all respect for wanting to quit while the game is good.

Sadly the sons of Michael Laudrup, Mads and Andreas aren't developing as I think most danes expected or hoped for. Mads Laudrup currently plays for HB Køge who're newly promoted to Danish Premier League (SAS Ligaen) and

  • Andreas Laudrup plays for FC Nordsjælland also in the same league.

It is touted that Andreas has the potential to go into his fathers footsteps .. we're all waiting :)

  • who cares, Brian was an excellent player as was Michael.

    Danish footballs best players.

  • Yeah its true.. those players you only come across once in a lifetime :(

Michael and Brian Laudrup was stuff of legends.

  • Total Legend! Class skill.

  • class player

  • we r not worthy

  • the best rangers team eva laudrup, gazza , coisty ,haitely.wat a fuckin team do us all proud in 09

  • craaaaaaaack !!! (L)

  • Am a celtic fan and i have to admit i would trade jimmy johnson hendrick larsson and mcgeady for just a slice of the skill that laudrup had.

  • i dont like any celtic fans mate

but i like the very few that can accept that rangers have better players than celtic

this man is the best ever to play in scotland

    WATP

  • @GodsHolyChannel you my friend are a complete idiot...no celtic fan would ever do that...you can show respect without over doing it

  • @GodsHolyChannel

Big word from a rival club man. It Warms my hart to hear it, and i bet it warms Brians heart even more. Thx for your thoughts m8. take care

  • LEGEND!

  • wish we had players like him at ibrox now

  • they just dont make players like this anymore....fucking legend

  • whos they. suppose cristiano ronaldo & messi arent good players? weirdest comment ive ever read

  • The guy is a legend! Confused over the backing track though- U2? Why not simply the best?

  • all i can say is he made me feel elevated when he played in the blue of the mighty rangers.

  • The best ever in scottish football ever?

  • agreed easily best player in scottish football history

  • Not the greatist goals ive ever seen, but still an awesome player.

  • fuck off!!!!

  • You wish.... Poof!

  • brian why are you so good ?

  • Yawn, English football dominates for one reason only, money. Take away your Sky millions and have just the champions playing in the "champions" league like it should be then it would be fair to compare "dominance" of the old firm with most of the premiershit teams which have only a fraction of their support or history.

  • geniuse

  • Lauders is undoubtably the best player ever to play in Scotland. He had everything, pace, skill and goals. LEGEND!

  • laudrup is GOD

  • scotlands finest

  • Comment removed

  • Brian was that good i would watch him when he didnt have the ball just to see him reading the game. The guy was pure genius

  • THE MASTER.

  • The best player that ever played on scottish soil and also a bargain buy. Pitty mark hately wasn't around for long during laudrups time as his high hanging crosses would have been bread and butter for big mark and rangers would've been formidable!!!!

  • Whats the song?

  • U2 - Elevation

  • Was B.Laudrup a striker, a playmaker or a winger?

  • I'd probably describe him as an attacking midfielder.

  • Winger by default, but with a free role, I would say.

  • All three, and bloody brilliant at all three.

  • God

  • The greatest player ever to pull on a Rangers shirt. Gascoigne wasn't fit to clean his boots.

  • what a player!!!!! FTP

  • we are not worthy the man is a god

  • do you think brian still fancies a game on the left? hes only 39 so its depressing hed probably not be the oldest player in the squad but would still be better than charlie "i can run a 100meters in under a minute" adam and lee "i love walter smith" mcculloch.

  • I'm a celtic fan and have to admit Laudrap was world class

  • gazza done a lot for the bears, but laudrup never got the credit he was due,a true genius, and i love gazza also.but truley believe laudrup was better,,,,,,,xxxxxxxxxx

  • simply the best sums the guy up him henrik larsson the only genuine world class players in scotland last 15 years

  • What about Gazza?

  • best player to ever kick a ball in scotland,,,,so simalar to ronaldo,,never as good but so simalar

  • Which Ronaldo? He was better than Cristiano - it's not just how many goals you score yourself that counts

  • Too many wankers on here shouting 'fenian' and 'proddy'. Why don't you all do everybody a favour and have a nice head on collison with a motorway bridge you utter tits!!! Just enjoy the splendour of Laurdrup eh?

  • lol get it up all u fenion bastards WE ARE THE PEOPLE MON THE GERS

  • best player to ever wear the shirt!

  • laudrap was such a proddy shite. mon the fenians!!!

  • you probably don't even know the origins of the word 'fenian'

  • "laudrap was such a proddy shite. mon the fenians!!! "

but your protestant, not catholic :S

  • is that the best u can do "laudrap was such a proddy shite" if u r a true football fan u would know a great player when u seen one .take off the green tinted glasses

  • Brian got the look and Michael got the most skills but i like Brian the most

  • Better than Larson any day!!

  • GODRUP

  • Laudrup was the best player in Rangers history
