  • This was the year after I graduated, after 4 years of medicore to terrible football when I was a student. But I got season tickets from a friend and went to every home game in 2005. These 3 minutes erased 4 years of disappointment and were 3 of the most memorable minutes of my life. This game was also the loudest thing I have ever heard.

  • Definitely an awesome moment caught on video. Amazing that you were able to hang on to the camera. The Gardner pick 6 against Nebraska may have been the loudest moment in Beaver Stadium but Ohio State 2005 had to be the loudest game in Beaver Stadium start to finish

  • Being in the student section for both this and the Nebraska game, I can say without a shred of doubt that Gardner's interception was MUCH louder than this.

  • Possibly, but what about Hali's forced fumble? That was beyond loud. There were people almost falling off the bleachers during that because everyone was jumping so raucously in ecstasy.

  • i agree gardners int was the loudest i have ever heard the place and i have been going to games since i was 7

  • hah lowry used to be my neighbor on ft bragg

  • I need a vomit bag

  • Wow, the video and audio quality might be bad, but you captured one heck of a moment in Penn State football. I had given up on finding a video from inside the stadium from this series. Unbelievable, I figured that if nothing was posted by now, there was never going to be anything posted.

That was a huge play. Also from what I understand this series was the birth of zombie nation at psu. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.

  • actually, they started playing zombie nation at the end of the 2004 season, especially during the michigan state game. none of us really knew why they were playing it so often. by the time 2005 came around everyone was used to it but this game they played it every single down and this is when the song really became what it is today and we started considering it our own.

  • interesting, I didn't know they played it at all in 2004. Reminds me of how the whiteout started - introduced in 2004, but made a name for itself in '05.

  • I remember some precursors to white outs like Code Blue in 2004 against I believe Purdue and Iowa, and before that, Operation Visine AKA "Get The Red Out" in 2002. I don't remember if there were any big color coordinations before that.

  • @rmcmillen50 No, the video and audio quality suck beyond belief. It's like being caught inside a tumble dryer.
