This guy's an idiot, it does actually work, although what he did was a joke. You're supposed to wrap the entire thing (not the CD just the iPod) in aluminum foil to prevent the microwaves from physically reaching the iPod's surface - it's the heat that turns the black enamel to white so you could actually use a conventional oven. I've heard of one person using a toaster oven and there's even a chick on youtube who got it to work with a clothes dryer. Crazy!
