  • should i get this one or the snes version???

  • Oh the memories.. I used to jump and hit the bells in Steamboat Willie's boat constantly.

  • Excellent game, along with Quakshot and the Lion King, such brilliantly done Disney games for the Mega Drive console,

  • Remember this game so well now that I see it.

  • Extra life missed at 2:38.

  • Looks great, but then again David Jaffee did help work on this (Twisted Metal, God of War). Very impressive!

  • i luved this game

  • The fastest way to smash the gears is too jump on bottom one to bounce up and smash the top ones with a marble.

  • There is no way anyone can look at this game and deny how impressive and creative it is.

  • this game rules!!! I played the heck out of this game!

  • I have to say for a Mickey Mouse game, heck a Disney game in general it's actually really hard, I can only imagine how many of us during childhood died during the harder levels. I would have to say the only other Mickey Mouse games I've played that are harder would have to be The Magical Quest series. Anyways this game is definatly harder than World of Illusion which is the other Mickey Mouse game I've played on Sega Genesis.

  • you know, at 3:02 you could also just jump on the lower cogwheels. that way, you don't have to waste orbs. :)

  • sega genesis versin was sooo much better that snes

  • still, Sega CD is the way to go. Seriously, I would believe the Sega CD version was a Playstation or Saturn game.

  • I wasn't very good at this game when I was little because the skeletons and crap scared me so badly. But I practically memorized the first level. I totally owned the Steamboat Willy part :D

  • I freaking loved this game...

  • david jaffe made this?

  • @ 2:51

I'm surprised the genesis could do that.

  • @fringeelements

Oh that's the power of the Sega Genesis my friend.

  • @Popoman100 yeah the sega Genesis was badass. it still is. i had so many fun games on that system

  • @Popoman100

Yeah. When in the hands of skilled programmers the Genesis shows it's true power. =)

  • @Popoman100 oh, and snes.

  • @fringeelements see gunstar heroes and red zone and you'll be surprised too

  • @fringeelements

You should see the part on stage 3 where Mickey runs from the moose...I was pretty impressed to see that on the genesis

  • Ahh... When games based on Disney were good.

  • Imagesoft made some of the best looking Genesis games ever. This is no exception.

  • the sega version actually has better sounding music...

  • was there any difference between the Sega Genesis & the Super Nintendo version?

  • snes had missing levels and stiffer controls

  • Man, I used to love this game!

I don't think I ever completed it though!

  • This version was the best out of the 3 versions released. Used to play this all the time. Love the music ^_^

  • wooooow

this was my favourite genesis game

    i like it :)

  • this game was the stuff! i loved staying up late and playing this when i was a kid!

  • i like the intro music from sega more then the SNES

  • Yes.

  • that version has LOAD TIME and less levels.

  • The SNES version is missing levels?

  • one of the tower levels, and some sound effects. Sega CD version is probably the best.

  • Its also missing the Band Concert level. And PS1 version is the best, it's the same as Sega CD but it has improved visuals and an extra level with Willie the Giant.

  • @Alianger

This game had a ton of animation for it's day. Even though it was a cart, to save space the developers compressed all the image files. The system then had to unzip all of those files which is why there's loading time.

The SNES with it's underpowered processor couldn't unzip the files as fast as the genesis, hence longer load times. SNES load times can also be seen on other games - often done during dialogue you couldn't button through.

  • @fringeelements I see, yeah that makes sense. I remember Earthworm Jim having some animation cut instead.

  • and you call yourself a sonic fan. lol
