Taking a 26ft Penske w/ a car trailer towing a 2003 Audi TT on it from Lafayette, IN to Greenville, NC for my girlfriend to attend grad school. Looks like about 821mi. Penske says I am required to stop at all weigh stations, what did you come across with those?
We actually didn't have to stop at any of the weight stations. Not sure if we should have though. But we were never flagged down to. And we did this twice. The second time when my parents moved from NH to CA with a U-haul cargo trailer.
On this trip my brother moved from Boston to Sacramento. About 3000 miles and 4 days of driving towing his car behind it. The truck wasn't the most comfortable. A little slow up the hills. But it did the job and saved us a lot of money. We did it again when my parents moved to CA.
Do you know what kind of engine was in it? My bus is an IC CE with the DT466, which I see a lot of this with those type of enignes. Mine usually doesn't take 30 seconds to start.. or 10 even. Just have to wait on the self test of the gauges.. but mine isn't slow at all up hills. Must've been the weight?
Just in a rush. We just checked out of our hotel. We were driving from Boston to Sacramento and we were 5 hours behind schedule.
