  • @Chris050493 oooh that's off final fantasy! xD i knew it sounded familiar, thanks

  • @3:00 what song is this?

  • @xEMOTIONSIKNESSx The Black Mages - Otherworld

  • i have the same pedal effects and the only thing that sounds really nice is the distorsion and the clean tones sounds like shit .. but anyway .....

  • 0:23 Can you please tell me what effect are you using? btw great playing there. and what amp are you using? thanks.

  • @intwernet Hey, thanks :)

That's A0 on the pedal, and it's only a little practice amp I'm using, a Kustom KGA10, any other sound related information would come down to the recording, which was just my phone in case you were wondering :)

    Hope this helps

  • what guitar is that?

  • @SanNicaragua It's a Jay Turser strat copy, a JT300 if I'm not wrong but not entirely sure, hope this helps :)

  • bro. how the fuck are you making that noise because i have the same damn effects medal

  • @TheHolyGuitarist What noise would that be? Got a time in the video? :)

  • @Chris050493 oh ya my bad. 32:00 i like that noise bro

  • @TheHolyGuitarist I don't quite get what you mean, the video isn't 32 minutes long

  • @TheHolyGuitarist Sorry about late reply, I haven't been able to get on the computer much... That effect is A0 which you can use the pedal as a pitch shifter, on the part your talking about specifically, I just played that bar chord and just randomly pressed down on the pedal repeatedly, hope this helps :)

  • hey does this have a delay effect?

  • 4:22 perfect intro ...

  • wooah that tune is used in food counters at food courts in india :@ :@ n i h8 that tune (the 1 yu played in the begining)

Hey i have this.. Does the types of pickups affect the sound, i mean, humbuckers only reduces the noise or it adds to distorsion? : / i am really puzzled i dun get the desired sound, i have a fender squier bullet strat, line 6 spider iv 15 and the zoom g1xn

    HELP IS APPRECIATED

(Sorry for bad enlish i am taking lessons :P)

  • What kind of guitar is that? And also does it have an upside-down head? (it looks similar to mine and i can't find out what the guitar model is called)

And one last thing, how do i tune the g1 so it sounds like metal?

  • @thatswedishguy100 It's just a bog-standard strat imitation, it's a Jay Turser, it's on their website but the picture on the website is of the one in purple if that helps you find it :)

As for the metal sound, I tend to go for B4 for lead and you can usually find a good rhythm guitar sound in the late B-section and around the C-section. Alternatively, just scan through the manual on how to edit patches and you'll be able to make the exact sound you want :)

  • what is the song 3:52 please

  • @gwaponggwaposinico ACDC - Back In Black :)

  • me darias el parche de la 10° distorsion??

show me the tenth patch, which is distortion?

  • @titomixDJ Depending on which patch you mean, it's either B7 or C9, hope this helps :D

  • can you send me the effect of 0:08 thanks :D and the Otherworld from final fantasy is great :D

  • @technodestroyer23 I can't think from the top of my head, I think it's either A1, A2 or A3... One of those, I hope this helps and thanks for the support :)

  • @mrretep65 Sorry about late reply, it's B9 if my memory serves me right :)

  • SEND ME EFFECT 3:42 ;d

  • motherfocker

  • Please send me effect 2:51 :D thanks

  • @Feliipe147 It's B4 :)

  • @Chris050493 otherworld ?

  • @gwaponggwaposinico You guessed it

  • Please send me effect 2:51 :D thanks

  • Pleas send me effect 2:51 :D thanks

  • Please tell me who is 2:51 effect :D and thanks

  • @darkdragonslaye2007

Yeah, and all the effects are customisable :)

  • can u get a phaser effect on this?

  • please send effect 1:40

  • @UGLJESA1986 It's A9 (Acoustic guitar simulator), hope that helps :)

  • @Chris050493 hahah tnx

  • nice video, very clear audio

  • @ariesu420 Thanks :)

  • G1 lacks the tone & clarity, the newer G2 which has a better tone, anyway check out my own patch.

  • A great video :D....... just wondering..... can you go from a heavy distorted sound straight to clean again?

  • Bas to make more videos? answer me by favor.

  • @IvanLukkaz I hope to have a new video up next week :)

  • chris your video is very good ..

play guitar very well, you're a genius I also played me I want to buy a foot zoom gx, try to improve your video watching, q is very good .. for more videos please ...!!! I'm from Argentina, but I am writing in English by a translator ..

Greetings friend, for more please ... taps good bye!

  • Chirs it´s beri good . Y fron argentina

    you are crack.

  • @marrark Currently, roughly 96 dollars

  • @marrark It cost me £60 nearly 2 years ago :P You'll be able to get an even better Zoom pedal for that money now :)

And the effect was just distortion with the pedal set to pitch shift

  • 2:57 the song from Final Fantasy X?

  • @CeruleanCrystal Yus :P

  • 0:40 how did you do that?

  • @RigorMortis203 Pitch shift effect, the patch is A0, and you just use the expression pedal to control it

  • hey....nice!!!!! how do u set the effect on 0:22-0:44, 2:52-3:21.....its cool can u put here d settings

  • @Onarherab The first setting you requested is A0, just use the expression pedal to change the pitch, if you don't have the expression pedal then I'm afraid you're stuck and will need to buy a seperate attachment. As for the second effect you requested, that is B4.

None of these effects were customised, since I didn't know how to change patches back then and it was a simple demo of what you got out of the box :P

    Hope this helps :)

  • @Chris050493 thanks.....

  • @Chris050493 how to change the expression pedal to pitch?

  • @realdeehtx When on the effect you want, pay attention to the column of lights next to the expression pedal, there should be about five or six, can't remember :P

In most cases, the 'volume' light will be on, but look below the lights to find the 'Pedal Assign' button, press that to change what the expression pedal does. So just press it until you select the pitch option, but if the light flashes, it means it's not compatible with that patch.

    Hope this helps :)

  • @Chris050493 actually You helped me, but not fully, 'cause i'm a brazillian hehe, and I don't know what is the meaning of PITCH, and I don't have the option "Pitch" in my G1XN.

  • @realdeehtx Hmm... There should be a pitch shift setting on Modulation / EFX settings, just refer to the manual to find out the exact details :P

As a quick alternative, just use the patch A0 (It might be different with the G1XN), and try using the expression pedal, it's usually set to pitch shift.

  • @Chris050493 maaaaaan, rlly thx. I've found it :D

i'm having so much fun with the G1X :D

do you have any Reggae patch?

    ty

  • @realdeehtx The only thing I could think of is D8, it has a kind of steel drum sound with it. It might be different on the G1XN, but not sure... And if you don't like the amount of delay on it (I know I don't :P), then just toggle around with the patch settings :D

    Hope this helps :)

  • nice job

  • @tainandvprbr Thanks :)

  • just got one of these pedals, but i'm still waiting to get a cable to connect it to my amp. thanks for the vid!

  • @seththeawesome Yeah, must be a bummer, as a quick alternative, if you have headphones with that size jack, then you can plug those straight into the pedal. If not, then it's just down to waiting until you get the spare cable. Also, a tip, you probably already know, but I didn't when I first got the pedal and wondered why all the effects sounded so similar, when using the pedal, make sure your amp is set to a clean setting and the gain's all the way down. If not, the pedal won't be very good :)

  • @seththeawesome how much in dollars?

  • @ralphmagsombol In dollars, the average price you'll find it for is probably just over $90, most likely less if you shop around a bit, more pedals have come out since and this is gradually becoming an old model, so probably cheaper than $90 :)

  • qual é a sua guitarra??

  • Hey I wasn't tryin' to insult you. The only thing shown by this video is you know some pentatonics. Your timing was terrible, you couldn't hit the notes clearly, you couldn't switch between chords very well and there's no feeling in it. Now I don't know how much you've improved now. Just a little advice, watch out for your ego. Everybody improves dramatically their first year of playing and thinks they're the best. Truth is, You suck.

  • @Playerc0 To be honest, that's too straight forward to not be an insult, also, the aim of this video wasn't to actually keep in time, it was to demonstrate some of the pedals effects. It's a bit sad to hear about someone actually listening out for timing on a video like this.

  • @Playerc0 hey get a life besides making people feel bad about themselves you fuckin cocksucker

  • I find it sad that the best review for this pedal is by some blond kid who can't even play guitar.

Other than your musical skills though. Thanks for makin' a vid that actually demonstrates most of if not all of the effects of a Multi-effects pedal. I can't stand Jason Spencer from World Music Supply showing you all of the effects he likes.

  • @Playerc0 I'm sorry, but no matter what level of skill, it's quite evident that I can play guitar as shown on the video. Your a moron for stating that I can't, and in case you didn't notice, this was uploaded nearly a year and a half ago. Did it ever occur to you that my playing improved? Of course not, you're a fool :)

  • @Chris050493 your just arrogant mate. PLayerc0 is speaking the truth.

  • @Googly181 He's making an opinion, and I'm not arrogant, but I do have a right to justify myself from people with their heads up their own arses, tell me I'm wrong

  • I have one of these pedals but never really experimented with it. I hear a few of the effects together in this video. I must try them for myself.

  • @MrRbruzzi Also try making your own patches, with a bit of practice you make some awesome ones

  • I've got this pedal too, i think the setting D0 has a nice Pantera sound :)

  • hahahahahhaahahahhaaa!!! u played iron man wrong!! OMG of all the easy songs out there Iron man, to get wrong..hahahaha...shameful. Awesome pedal though.

Btw ...not saying u suck but still...u have potential.

    -cheers

  • @EyeYamAffaKingWeTodd What's wrong in the Iron Man part?

  • @Chris050493 played right. timing off. not trying to offend at all just pointing it out.

    -cheers

  • @EyeYamAffaKingWeTodd That could possibly be a problem yeah, but I didn't really have any aspect of timing then and didn't really know the song, thanks for the constructive criticism though :)

  • @Chris050493 no problems. And its nice to here you have gotten better with timing. i look forward to seeing a few covers.

    -cheers

    P.S. i subscribed

  • @EyeYamAffaKingWeTodd Thanks for the sub, I am planning to do a new guitar video soon, but I dunno whether I should do one now or wait until I get a new guitar which should be soon, looking at a Vintage V8 TSB and if I do get it, it'll be at the very beginning of July. Probably gonna wait for the new guitar since it has locking tuners and a decent tremolo, the guitar I have now doesn't stay in tune too well and has no tremolo (some idiot broke mine). Haha

  • @Chris050493 yeah i would wait for the new guitar. You do have a rather good taste in guitars i'll admit, but those locking tuners and with their ocompanying trms give me the willies with all the adjusting. look foward to it mate.

    -cheers

  • @EyeYamAffaKingWeTodd Yeah, apparently there can be some troubles adjusting / setting the tuners up. I'll just look to Google if I get it and have troubles :P I was thinking about getting like a metal shape guitar like a lot of BC Rich's, but I don't really play metal so it'd look a bit weird. Was also thinking about a Les Paul but they only have 22 frets in most cases, this is perfect 'cause it's a super strat shape, 24 frets, tremolo and locking tuners :)

  • @Chris050493 sounds good! i wouldm't worry too much about the tuners as the guitar should come with instructions on it anyways. Nice specs with your super strat. Hope you have a lot of fun with it. i understand how you feel about the metal thing as i myself play metal but also like to play other things so i bought a 1998 model Gibson explorer. sounds excellent although it has a massive weight to it. Good luck and happy playing.

    -cheers

  • @EyeYamAffaKingWeTodd Nice guitar and thanks for the support :)

  • @Chris050493 Happy to help

    -cheers

  • g1x zoom kicks ass

  • gay!

  • @LukzHenrike I see in your recent activity this is what you've been posting on loads of guitar videos, it's nice to see you have a busy schedule consisting of doing worthless things like this. I think it would be appropriate if you uploaded a video of how great you are

  • i have this gadget at home.. its pretty wicked..

  • What was the song at 4:23?

  • @Scorch1007 Guns 'N Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

    Hope this helps :)

  • Hi considering getting this pedal how many effects are on it and is it easy to use?

  • @Jackisawesum1234 There are 40 preset effects on it and you can make your own with 40 other spaces. And yeah, it's very easy to use :)

  • does anybody know how practical this pedal is for when it comes to gigs?

  • @skaterboyrob19 It'd depend on how often you switch between effects, but once you've had a good practice with it, it's easy enough :)

  • Good effects :) One question: Have you Aria STG-003 ( guitar)?

  • @chyli91rock No, that's a Jay Turser 300QMT and it's the only guitar I've got, I really should be saving up for a better one though :P

  • Awesome at 2:52 settings i have Zoom G1X :) Send message

  • @flamegor1 Thanks :) I've sent a private message, I take it that's what you meant :P

  • @flamegor1 i think thats the kirk hammet drive right?

  • hi chris iam using the same pedal can you help me in creating a patch for sustain of notes with slight distortion

  • There isn't a sustainer on this pedal, I wish there was because I want a sustainer, you can get brand name sustainer pedals for about £50 (which is probably around $80).

  • 0:21 wat is it called?? like A0,A1 blah blah blaH

bcoz i always forget which 1 is the distortion mode and i hav to like check it all over and over again

  • That's A0, on that, just use the expression pedal to change octaves like I did

    Hope this helps :)

  • The music at 2:52 is the best =)

Can you pm me with the settings of the distorcion??, i have a zoom g1J.....

    Nice Video!!!!!

  • Thanks :)

I'll send a message to you now

  • Amazing guy!!! That object is magic!!! And you're cool on playing! Song at 2:52? :)

  • Thanks for the support, that song's 'The Black Mages - Otherworld'. I'm pretty sure it's 'The Black Mages', if not, just type in 'Final Fantasy X - Otherworld', it's a song from there, so you'll definately find it :P

  • what's the name on 1:47 ??

  • I made it up :P

  • this pedal is so awesome. I am getting it for sure now ;DD

  • Good choice :)

  • that was a very nice vid! lol. I'm about to get a Zoom G1XN, the upgraded version of the one u have. Would u recommend it? I quite like it, especially from watching the video. I mostly play metal and heavy metal and rock type of songs. Do you think this pedal is suitable for that kind of music? thanks

  • Yeah, I'd definately recommend getting the G1XN :) And yeah, you can play all kinds of music on it, heavy metal and rock being two of them :P

  • nice :P i thought so too lol :P

  • what song in 1:40??

  • I made it up :P

  • 1st time I seen that picking .

  • Alternate?

  • what patch in 2:09? i wanna do a cover of wonderwall with my band (we are only two guitars xD), and we have the same pedals, but he have a les paul... he haves a better guitar than me :P

  • That's the patch B1 :D

Yeah, I quite like Les Paul's, I wish I had one, they're really nice providing you get a decent brand :P I need a new guitar myself, 21 frets and a strat doesn't do me justice :) But I do like it, and it's my first guitar, so I'd definately keep it :D

  • Thank you Chris, the pedal doesn't do anything when pushed. does not bring any stored patch nor move any target above the pedal assign keys. Tried to follow the steps to adjust the pedal and keeps getting error "Er".

  • Hmm... As far as I know, you can't use the pedal to change to a different patch, but I'm not too sure about the error you keep getting when trying to use the pedal :o

  • I'm not able to adjust the pedal. I followed the steps from page 20 of the manual. Cannot select any module. Keep getting "Er". Any advice?

    Thank you.

  • If you mean adjust the pedal so it does different things, there's a button to the left of the pedal with a list with lights by them. The button's labelled 'Pedal Assign', and whilst you're on the effect you want, press that button until the light comes up next to the thing you want the pedal to do. If the light flashes on and off, it's incompatible.

If this isn't what you meant, please define further :)

  • 6:33 what song is this? thks you, thats a good pedal!, and i my guitar is an stratocaster texas with the same colours of your guitar lol, i like these colours in a stratocaster xD... good pedal ! this pedal is going to be welcome in my house soon xD!

  • Crush 40 - What I'm Made Of

Incase you get to wondering, I used a completely different effect on that compared to the original song, so it'll sound a little different :P And yeah, very good pedal for such a small price :D

  • g unot tee :)

  • bien chico sigue asi

  • hey man. .i also have g1x. . your effects was all so good. .especially the heavy metal . . hope that i can mix well. . :D keep it up

  • Thanks for the support :)

  • no wah wah ? ._.

  • Yes there's wah-wah on it, if you listen carefully then you'll hear it on this video. When I use it, I don't use the expression pedal, it's on all the time so it's probably harder to notice. The wah-wah isn't as good on this pedal as a dedicated pedal, but this is alot better value since a normal wah-wah pedal costs more than this multi one anyways xD

  • @Chris050493 thanks xD

  • hey, could you please tell me the patch you're using on 1;42..

    tnks!

  • That's the acoustic simulator A9 :D

  • I forgot what is the song 0:19 - 0:35? nice video, i just got the G1X its awesome.

  • That's some random piece I came up with when I got the pedal and experimented with the pitch adjuster on A0. It might similar to some song for all I know, but I don't, I can't recall hearing any similar :P

And yeah, it's a really good value pedal for the price :D

  • just got mine for cristmas, watched this to hopefully get some ideas. do you have any advice or anything interesting you could do with it?

PS: you should learn how to play "where the streets have no name" by u2, it sounds amazing with the delay and reverb

  • I don't personally have any tips for it, eventually you'll get used to the pedals features and go exploring around it alot more and experimenting with different effects. Or you'll listen to a song and realise you can do that with this pedal, the only tip that I can give is get the hang of the pedals different effects and features and you'll pick up some pretty cool tricks yourself, I know I did :P

  • @Chris050493

i got it too, can you tell me how i could get best Metal settings?

  • I always just go on B4 for that :P

You might be able to get even higher gain on it if you adjust the gain on your amp or if the gain level on the pedal can go any higher, hope this helps :)

  • @Chris050493

well i try that ty, I have been using d2 patch called "metal crunch" and it works pretty well

  • whats th name of dice song? 2:20

  • Oasis - Wonderwall

  • does this pedal have enough distortion for metal?

  • Definately :P

  • You saved Me a lot of money ;D TY, so if i buy this ( i only have amp and guitar, started playing 2 months ago)when i get home i only have to plug this to my amp and my guitar and i am ready to play?

  • Yeah, that's it, be prepared though, you need 2 jack leads (lead going from the guitar to the pedal, and a lead going from the pedal to the guitar), you probably won't be the happiest person ever if you get it and don't have two leads (if you don't have two or more already :P), hint also... Set your amp to a clean setting when using the pedal because everything will just sound really similar, the amp will sort itself out for effects and processing :D

  • this pedal is amazing i got one today for christmas best sound ever.. so clean

  • I know :P And Merry Christmas :)

  • I have had this pedal for some time and am 100% satisfied with it. I would be lost without and for those considering buying one i would say go for it, you would not be dissapointed. I paid £59 pound for mine from my local guitar shop and have the G1X.

  • I ordered one online and i was wondering if it has a whammy effect?

  • I'm not 100% sure on that one, it might have a tremolo effect (which is the same as whammy) but it might not, I haven't checked :o

  • awesome! i buy today the G1..lol 1 question they all come with the optional expression pedal (FP02)?

  • The G1X has the expression pedal built in, the G1 doesn't have an expression pedal so you have to buy it as a seperate attachment.

    Hope this helps :)

  • hey again,

can u pls temme if i shud buy a zoom g1xn or g1u with a dunlop crybaby wah

    thx

and pls tell me the prices cos i cant find them nywhere

    thx in advance

ps..i live in uae so can u giv it in dihrams

    thx again

  • I'd personally go for the G1XN, the difference between that one is it doesn't have the USB function and it's cheaper at roughly $100, the G1U is an older model (to my knowledge because the G1XN has only been out a matter of a few months. The G1U is priced at roughly $140, if you think recording. If you're interested in the USB feature (which is mainly used for recording), you could look into the G2.1u, I'm not sure on the price / additional features though... Hope this helps ;D

  • thxx

    but wud u suggest a g1xn or a g1x?

    thxx

  • G1XN, definately :P

  • and in the g1xn is there a headphones output hole thing?

  • There are in all of them, commonly used for headphones, amplifiers or line-in recording :P

  • some ppl are sayin tht there is a problem with multiprocessors that they make less quality sound single effect boxes(think its called a stompbox)

    is it true?

is there any major difference btween the g7.1ut and g1xn cept fr the size and no. of effects

    thx again

  • That is a downfall to multiprocessors, it's not professional sound quality, but probably ver
