This music is from a different time and place....a hint of the B-52's,Lush and Cocteau Twins blended into a unique sound that sounds so origional yet timeless!!
Ah, yes... The White Room. I miss those mid-to-late-90-s days, sometimes, sitting in my grotty little flat and wtaching shows like this! I liked Dubstar a lot, Not So Manic Now is a great song - check out the video elsewhere on youtube, Sarah Blackwood looks fantastic in it. God, she was sexy.
dano you're too right, 00's suck - everything is fake and contrived....still, this decade ends in a couple of weeks. i'll be glad to see the back of it.
Good stuff xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
an optimistic vision: guys prefere the black - haired girl, even if she's a little bit chubby, but they don't even noticed the other dancers - blondes, dancing like strippers... boys, you made my day:)
Holy S**t, I remember this song from years back. I was away working in the north east and staying in a hotel in seaton carew. This was the song on the radio every morning when the alarm woke me. They played every day for the two weeks I was there. It was my personnal ground hog day. nice to hear it after all these years though.
I wish someone would purchase the cd single of this song on youtube. I can't find the cd anywhere in my local music stores and I don't have a credit card so I can't order it online!
@PowerAndPerception Sarah Blackwood probably was terrified - apparently she used to get very nervous performing live & often used to cling on to the microphone stand. This performance sounds fine to me. Nervous or not, that smile she does at the end - melt!!

I remember the shiny shirts from this era, too! They didn't stand up to much punishment; nor did they last.

Great song! Love it :) and the sexy dancers! hubba hubba...
But it sounds absoloutely terrible live haha - maybe because the lead singer looks terrified for some reason?
