  • Caffeine is incredibly healthy. Research it so you don't lose sleep and get the most out of it. Diabetes, Alzheimer's, and cancer prevention is well worth the risks for most people. Caffeine consumers do better on cognitive studies, even if there isn't caffeine in their system.

  • why would i want to quit,caffeine keeps mosquitos and parasites out of my body,also coffee has antioxidants.I use coffee in my garden to keep insects out of certain plants that love acidic soil.

  • Good idea to quit caffeine but your knowledge of addiction and how to quit is woeful and actually makes it harder to quit than necessary.

  • Tapering off may work for some. For others it just prolongs the withdrawal period. Personally, what "works" for those I know is simply stopping all caffeine intake. Drinking lots if water over the following 2-3 days will help mitigate the pain, but caffeine withdrawal is painful and takes about 72 hours. Then it's over. Enjoy!

  • i drink like 1-2 52oz sodas a day i get so depressed if i dont when i was flat broke for a week i didnt drink any and i was off of it but then when i got paid i was like..i can do for a nice coke right now! got a52oz and there i went again

  • Doesn't tea include caffeine? I'm sure it's not as much as coffee and it's much healthier but it still contains caffeine.

  • @getridofcaffeine oh god i quit coffee cold turkey the whole day the next morning i threw up and had hot flashes...i try to reduce it to 1 cup instead of 3 ..i am a addic ...as i suffer this withdraw

  • I used to drink two cups in a day, but was suffering from stomach problems so i needed to dish it. I reduced it gradually to a cup and then half. I still drink half a cup and in a couple of days I will be done! but the real problem after quitting is staying away from it.

  • Great job on working on reducing the amount. I'm sure you feel better now, don't you. There's of course also a number of things you can do to stay away from it.

  • thanks for the reply! actually I quit last week and I tell you, I feel great! no more nerves, I sleep like a baby at night and wake up refresh! I found that by drinking a big mug of cranberry juice in the morning, I feel energetic and not sleepy! this has help me inmensively as well as watching this videos on utube....great help! thanks a bunch!

  • @vicky1220 I suffer from stomach problems too. i quit cold turkey four months ago but all it took was one person giving me a free energy drink and all of my hardwork was out the window. i'm really scared to quit again because the headaches were awful. but drinking a triple espresso, three rockstars, and a redline all in one day cannot be good for anyone-especially me!

  • @mscvdyo stay away from the energy drinks,use 5 or 7 hour energy,they have no crash effect. also never drink energy drink and expresso in the same day,choose one or the other.

    I had the same problem. A friend, actually a nurse, suggested adding some milk in the coffee, I followed the advice and it proved very succesfull!

    The milk I add is usually of one or two centimetres in depth (half an inch, or less than an inch). But tastes may very.

  • Good video. Caffeine is a plant poison and it's not good for humans, either.

  • reduce two cups in the morning to one:

    1) eat before

    2)drink it slow

    3) use different looking cups and try to convince yourself it is bigger than normal
