  • @THEUNOTE often breeders that has "used" male maine coons for breeding will get rid of them in order to freshen up the gene pool and they give them away. Keep your eyes open at shelters and on craigslist ! I got my purebred for free this way :) Noone wanted him :(

  • my maine coon goes in that position a lot. and now she lets me rub her belly! finally!! shes silver and black and 4 years old. she was attacked a lot at the adoption center so shed have to know you extremely well and trust you extremely well to let you rub her belly. name is Mystique. very lovable and playful

  • @MaggotF0rLife Attacked by people or by other cats?

  • @illegalsmirf Other cats. That's why she doesn't get along with other cats. I was wrong. she was 8 years old when I said that. Now she's 9.

  • lol cute

  • How did you get into my apartment, and successfully steal my cat? *Looks over at this fat fluffy coon* Oh...I guess she just has a twin..

  • Wow! That is EXACTLY the way my Maine Coon sleeps all the time. We have countless pictures of her doing it. :) Endless entertainment.

  • They are called main Coons because the grow a main around their neck and the are about as big as a raccoon.

  • erm.. i think its cuz they were native to the state of Maine in USA.

  • Yeah I had my facts wrong Sorry

  • you have much to learn

  • lol its actually one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, specifically native to the state of Maine, where it is the official State Cat.

  • My Maine Coone had a beautiful ruff around his neck. He looked like a little lion.

  • are you sure it was a maine coon? norwegian forest cats have that little mane around their necks and they look a lot like maine coons. my friend has one and i thought it was a coon bc they didn't know (he was a stray that wandered into their yard), until i looked it up. sooo cute

  • Too lazy.

  • That's a cute blubber nugget.. so fluffy..

  • It's like having your own (lazy, friendly) lynx as a pet or something.

    Neat cats.

  • Large fluffy friendly cats: Maine coons are large as a breed.

  • Mine loves to lie in the same position. I think it's a breed characteristic.

  • I think its more trust then anything, since they themselves vulnerable in this postion

  • He IS amazing. That's when you say "Nice kitty, nice kitty"! LOL My male Maine Coon was a big kitty too, but not THAT big!! WOW!
