Dude that sucks balls. Only 3 strikes in 3 years? I thought terms of service say you gotta get 3 strikes in a 6 month period to get terminated. You should do all you can to appeal. Go thru the help centre and find and emails you can to harass them about it. I know of several people who thought they got a permanent termination but then got their accounts back. Dont give up yet. I bet the strike wasnt even legit. Fight it dude.

Re-subbed. As someone running a new game channel (and an original music channel that's been up for 6 years), this kind of thing worries me. I have two videos right now (game play footage for a let's play and a review) that have "matched third party content." Our copyright laws, and youtube are screwed up beyond belief. I'm discouraged from wanting to continue using youtube, as a viewer and content creator.

@TheAmazingUploader sadly it's not always easy to know what is safe to show and what is not. Hell if you are wearing an Addidas logo on your hat and you are videoing it, one could argue that is copyright infringement.
Copyrights were created so people couldn't steal someone else's work and claim it as their own. (as in fooling people into thinking you are the creator of said work). Sadly, the law goes way beyond that now, and we shouldn't have to bend to all their BS. :(
Well, it is pretty easy actually. If you didn't make 100% of the material yourself, then don't upload it. It doesn't take a genius to understand that.
Youtube is meant to inspire creativity, not copyright infringement. If people can't be creative and upload their own stuff they shouldn't do it at all.

I got so pissed when I saw this. What did they hit you on? I also have a strike from a Dynasty Warriors review I did for no reason, and I took out 2 minutes of game footage and it magically uploaded. Like they have nothing better to do. I'll spread the word!
