I would be satisfied if my husband would not leave a trail behind him.;) but as for actually cleaning the house... since he works "out in the world" to provide our home, I feel no resentment about being in charge of keeping it clean. and the kids are old enough to do a bit around the home, daily, too. when I am sick, Husband will cook or do dishes or whatever <3 he also usually washes the car and mows the backyard, changes the oil, other"guy" things that I really don't want to do.

i think role reversal is becoming more and more common today. i think a couple should find a way that both of them would feel comfortable and not try to be limited by the traditional values of the society. plus today there are so many working mums. they go to work and have to take care of everything at home when they get back. they too have exhausting jobs so i think its fair that men should help out and not just sit around waiting to be served like a freakin king.

Men should have to take care of everything outside, and women should have to take care of everything inside. Why? Because we're better at mowing and fixing the car and women are better at vaccuming and cooking. They're both difficult jobs, and the one who does a particular job better should have to do it.

If she wants equality regarding chores, there's nothing more equal than moving out on her own.

A real man can cook, cleans, launder, irons, et cetera for himself. He doesn't allow some woman to move into his domicile just remind him when to take the trash out.

My place is always clean and I don't have to listen to some b*tch complain or cajole.

If your woman was really as strong and independent as she thinks she is, then she'll have no problems living alone and doing all her own chores.

First, being male and being a man are two different things.

Second, American women demand equality and as a modern man I fully support it: Either she splits ALL the bills equally (unlikely since women usually marry up and can't afford the lifestyle) or she can do the chores--I expect a hot meal every night when I come home for dinner.

But, since it's nearly impossible to find an American woman who knows how to cook or clean anymore, the best option is to not allow her to move in.
