  • Since it is so light that you can pick it up with one hand, the locking part does not have to be real secure. But then again, an admitted doper bought a 'safe' that probably weighs 10 pounds.

  • I suppose this is a bad time mention that I had a Sentry 1100? :P

  • I guess i shouldn't have put "lock picking" on there my bad, its opening a safe with a penny.

Again though, believe what you like. I didn't break the key in there, there was no key in it.

This kid showed me how to do this after he stole my weed out of the safe, thats why I made this video.

  • This safe was not tampered with at all. Infact I used the screwdriver last, I just edited the video that way for some stupid reason, I was high as hell, and takin a bunch of oxycontin.

And yes thats inflames in the background!!! You can assume what you like but this thing was out of the box and it opened with a penny, then a screwdriver, then a knife.

    Sentry is trash.

I have removed all the negative posts. I will lock the thread also now, scince 50% of the posts are just trash talk.

  • lame, its just a fire safe.

  • Everything Sentry makes is fucking junk.

  • finally some one with a brain

  • I use mine as a fire safe... this thing is way to small to be a security safe... you can just walk away with it.

  • if there was not lock on it that yea it would be just a fire safe but it has a lock and what did we learn about locks today?there for serurity reeasons to keep people out yeay you got a free lesson on life today.now go back to ur moms basement where ur gonna live the rest of ur life talkin shit to people about safes, what a pathetic life u have

  • @gaylomaster0007

inbread?lol ur the 1 that dont understand it has a lock on it thats about as pointless as ur life.theres a lock, with a key, what are locks and keys used for?to keep people out!this safe wouldnt keep a new born child out, even you could brake into it.take that fire and security shit and shove it up ur brothers ass after he nuts in your eye.

  • FIRE safe....think about that title. F I R E safe. Not a "security safe"...its a fire safe. Its meant to keep your valuables safe from fire. It will withstand X tempature for Y minutes. This is a good little safe to put INSIDE your "security safe". Better yet, if you have things THAT valuable, buy a FIRE AND SECURITY safe. The lock is just a cheap little thing. Consider it s "latch" more than a "lock".

  • the funny thing is if its just for fire y would the bothe putting a lock on it?i had one of them, i droped it of my bed to my hard wood floor and the front broke right off.then i got a ned one and lost the key so i hit it with a hammer gently and it opened right up..if ya got something worth saving buy something that locks good as well

  • Same problem a decade ago, used fingernail. They advertise them as "safes" but they are not even lockboxes.

  • thats because its a fire safe, meant too withstand fire and not breakins

  • Your safe is busted, I have the exact same model and mine does not open that easily. I agree though it's not very secure.

Hopefully most people know it's not designed for securing valuables, mainly for protection from fire & water. It has carry handle on it for crying out loud, anyone wanting to steal the contents would just pick the whole safe up and take with them. I use mine to store copies of my PC backups and important documents. My valuables go in a more secure hidden wall safe.

  • thanx for the tip what is ur address again?

  • penny or not, your average thief is liable to have a crowbar. These safes can be opened with a crowbar in under 30 seconds.

  • That "safe' may be fine to protect documents from a fire, a small one at that, but if that metal latch is all that's holding it locked you can forget it. Bang a strong screwdriver into the gap with a hammer and pry upward. You will defeat that cheesy latch in seconds. If you want "real" safety, you don't get it for that price. That said, it's fine for protecting documents , passports etc. from fire. Would YOU put a $5K jewelry piece in a $150 safe?

  • @HecklrKch acctually would look for demos of these things being put through the fire they held up even at super high heats man 150$ or not for a fire proof safe i like em....not to protect against man but fire!

  • Easier and faster way to Open locked doors and locks by using Bumpkeys, we have the lowest prices on the net, only at SUPERBUMPKEYS. Com

  • of course they don't just open with a penny, but they move a slight bit so the latch doesn't work properly. good video, btw.

  • This is actually very common with sentry safes, they have too much lash in the lock assembly, and you can turn it just enough to disengage the hook. there is no broken key in the lock, if you don't believe it, buy one of these safes for $20

  • I threw mine against the ground a few times and the hinge opened.

  • yo i tried this shit and i couldent do it so i got a small knife and it opened so easily i got all my fuckin meds xanax chlonzapam wooo

  • Where do I get the penny?

  • Go to the store and trade a dollar for it, the nigga will thank you

  • Lock strength is really negligible on a safe like this. Don't you think it would be easier for a thief to just use the carry handle and walk off with it? He can take his sweet time on the lock somewhere else. That lock is more or less so your kids don't go snooping through your stuff. Those little safes are really just for fire safety.

  • sentry safes are FOR fire so just keep it in side a normal safe

  • OH YEA... Lets C you make a vid breaking into a Sentry 1900.

  • dude i own one of those sentry 1100's ... that fucker is a bitch to open without the key (has had to do it on 4 occasions) you fucked with the hook arm so it'll open no matter what, you wanna really impress me, pick that bitch with a paper clip and a pocket knife like I did

  • but even that's not impressive

  • Dog's really arun't a problem for a criminal 99.9% of the time. Easy to just lock the dog in another room for example.

  • Im too poor to afford this

  • yeah this shit sucks, we use to just shake ours a little to open

  • I have one of these. It's used to keep my Documents from burring up in a fire. That is ALL that it's made for. Really if it was much harder to open, a thief would just take it with him. I now have a better/REAL fireproof safe bolted to the floor. No safe is bugler proof. Your slowing them down, making it harder to maybe leave and go for a easier target. Have a Home Alarm and there's really no time to crack a safe with the Alarm going off. The cheap lock keeps the Box shut and the Kids out.

  • yeah but common it has a key being used!

Why use a cheap ass lock at all?!?! Low quality crap like this is what USA is getting. This sentry lock equal that of USA cars.

  • @JBDragon1 i know the best way to keep robbers out..... get a big dog that is widy know to have locked jaws like a pipbull and beat it every once and a while. any stranger coming to your house wont be leaving on his feet.... (note i do not promote any abuse towadrs animals or humens .)

  • Or you could just Exercise your second amendment right and shoot them if they enter your home. End of story.

  • lol i was asuming that nody was in the house. but here in canada it's differnt dude.

  • Oh I didn't know you were in canada.

  • only for the weak

  • wow dude i wish i could do that dude your hella sick man

  • fire safes are not made to keep bad guys out, it locks only to make sure it does not come open during a fire. besides if a bad guy wanted the stuff inside, he would take the safe and drill out the lock. if you want to keep your stuff safe from bad guys you need a safe bolted into the ground.

  • my friend lost his key to his ssafe and this really helped him out

  • ya its supposed to withstand fire not burglury

  • This is not a safe, it's just a lockable box. Off Course you can open it with anything. It's not supposed for keeping your jewels in it.

  • @KnitterX What'd you expect from a druggie. lol

  • to be fair it doesn't look very expensive!! hardly shocking that it doesn't work.

  • I used the nail file in a nail clipper !

  • it actually really works....i used a pair of scissors as welll..

  • This is only a fire box. It can be picked up and carried out of your house. Buy a fire rated safe that can be bolted to the floor. A real safe will cost you $700. to $2000. or more.

  • pretty scary how easy it opens huh great demo

  • have it and i use scissors as my key

  • he was pulling up dumb ass

  • the point of it isn't to keep people out

    its a fire safe

so fire doesn't ruin whats in it

  • What do you expect from something bought from *mart.

  • the things is fucking broken like the lock if u push to hard the thing shift like u really need to fucking twist it n fuck the lock up to do it

  • In Flames fan :)

  • why are you so stupid

  • yep a real waste of money sentry is fucken dog shit

  • pennies are bullshit

  • Why? Do you work for Sentry or something?

  • What a piece of shit safe ad I was getting ready to drop 400 dollars on one of their models...

  • Fuck....

  • you could just pick it up and take it with you. This is a fire safe to protect documents from a fire.

  • this is the la pd this is rilly the lapd this is officer nickdenoon remove this video emedley

  • ok buzz killington

  • Look douche, first if you were with the LAPD, you would just contact the proper channels I deal with the police all the time at my job and if they want an end user to do something they ask us not them. second learn to spell because for god sake, if any American police officer spells "really" "rilly" or "immediately" "emedley" they should be taken around back to play with Legos coated in cyanide, if you dont understand try looking some of the hard words up, im sure even a dimwit can use google.

  • i was wondering who would give a full blown explanation of why nickdenoon is a damn idiot

  • my sentry safe is the same way, not buying another from walmart again

  • Its suppose to protect your stuff from being burned up in a fire not from being stolen. I've had a Sentry 1100 since I was 10 years old. Brinks chests have great security too, just pull hard on the latch and it opens even when locked!

  • These safes aren't made for theft proof. They are fire safes and they put the ock on it to prevent it from opening during a fire. It's funny how people think it takes any skill to open :P

  • I got one of these 14 years ago or so when I was a kid, you could open it faster with a small pocket knife than the actual key lol

  • lols my dad locked a bunc of stuff in his nd lost the key so instead of trying to pick the lock he put a power drill through the lock and all he did was hurt himself cuz he did it wrong

  • Can you pick the lock for Sentry 1170?? .. Just wondering.

  • hammer, powerdrill both of those will do the trick

  • It's a fire safe DUH...it's not meant to keep burglars from stealing your items. You can obviously carry it away. I have one of these, it's used to protect valuable items and documents from fire.

  • it looks stock to me, Sentry safes are only designed for fires, they suck and Brinks does not use them bahahahahahaaaa

  • That's because Brinks sucks too. Bahahahaaa.

  • Nice background music. In Flames - Only For The Weak

  • you should see what he does with a 50cent piece

  • opened mine with my bare hands pulled it open!!!

  • 2 things to say. 1, Either there is something seriously wrong with your lock pins. 2, this safe is only to keep your valuables from fire damage. nice try though. You got 39 thousand views.

  • it's not the lock....and i doubt it's a pin tumbler lock...i think it's a wafer lock......whatever it is...it's just the lock installation....the nut is loose

  • I couldnt get it to work with screwdriver or penny but i did get it to crack with a really small pair of needle nose plyers

  • I have the exact same safe, can't open mine with a screwdriver or penny... but they are still pieces of shit

  • holy shit it works with the flat head thanks

  • Damn, I can't get mine open. Lost the key 8 months ago. How exactly is this working?

  • what this guy isnt saying is the first time you do it you need a good bit of force and a screwdriver to ring the cam lock round , that is a fire res safe its made out of a plaster type stuff that breacks apart easy enough

  • Oh, thnx. I did notice the metal stripping away when i stuck a flat head in there I will just do it the rest f the way. thnx

  • Its a fire safe, it keeps valuables safe when theres a fire, e.g important documents, its not to prevent things from being stolen.

  • lol Nice man, those firesafes are weak.

  • that only for the weak by in flames in the background?

  • yes:D

  • I totally heard that too, haha.

  • Its opening up so easy because there is prob a key snapped inside the lock

  • Um its got a handle on it. Noone would take the time to open it they would just take it. The safe is more for fire than theft.

  • LOL, that's really pathetic.

You can pretty much open that by yelling "boo!"

  • i didnt believe it either but i opened mine with long tweezers and a curved end pair for the tension part, im a 26 yr old woman and if i can do it! trust me anyone can!

  • this worked for me.

got it open in less than a minute

  • look at the anchor of the lock mechanism, it's barely turned from being locked, he could have just pulled at a slight angle and opened it, where a normal pull wouldnt have opened it.

  • this is a FIRE safe not a STEALING safe

  • Why does it have a key lock?

  • Your not trying hard enough

  • I could open that "safe," with my foreskin.

  • ya you are right

  • hey if you can poen this can u try it with a Sentry 1170 type of safe if you can that would be a huge help

  • omg my bro has this safe an i stole $1500 off him ty

  • wow your an ass for stealing from your bro But im also a hypocrit :) :) i only got 200

  • Its a fire safe... It protects from fires not robbers

  • sentry 1100s are disk tumbler locks and the tublers are only on one side. Sentry 1100s also only have 4 or 5 disks of wich, a max of two is needed to be moved or "bumped". They are FIRE safes. That is all they good for. In an average fire it will keep your valluables safe long enough for a fire team to put a fire out

  • so kenshinkyle, what you are saying is they aren't designed to be secure, but they are designed to keep your money safe during a fire? So these safes are so insecure, they will need to be put in other safes?

  • Yes that is correct. It is actually better to buy one quallity safe that is mounted into a secure foundation and is rated for theft and fire. It also has to mount to the foundation from the inside. If you are looking for a safe, go to a profesional licensed locksmith. A quallity safe costs some money but it protect your vallueables. hope this helped

  • Well, if you think about it... You can just pick it up and walk away with it, then have all the time in the world to crack, smash it, etc. The only advantages I can think of is they're inexpensive, fireproof, and small (easy to hide?)

  • you must be stupid there is a video showing it and sharp strike says it and i say it

  • Why would you waste money on a secure lock on a safe you can pick up and carry away with one hand? If you can just steal the whole safe, it doesn't matter how good the lock is--when the thief gets it home and has hours to work on it, he'll eventually get it open no matter what. The lock is just to keep the safe closed in case of fire. This is a pointless video.

  • This safe is anything but safe. I used a pair of scissors, shoved them into the keyhole, turned it and I was able to open the box.

  • ONLY FOR THE WEAK! haha

  • Dumbass, that safe is to protect against fire, NOT THEFT! Here, a quote from their web site:

"A key-lock provides privacy in daily use and prevents the lid from opening in the event of a fire."

  • that safe is ANCIENT!

  • bull shit

  • i hear "in flames" in the background. ROCK ON

  • LOL I have the same type of safe I used one of those corn holders you stick in the corn of the cob to eat it without your hands touching it. They are easy to pick no doubt about it.

  • lol... i can do this with FINGERNAIL FILE it's really not that hard the fire/ water sentry SAFE is a bit more difficult... alot more difficult actually

  • These are FIRE SAFES, that's all.

And you aren't turning the lock, as in "unlocking" it.. the arm is still up... you are slightly moving the entire lock assembly inside the box... it's mounted poorly.

On those 1100s, all you have to do is slide any flat tool, knife blade, kitchen knife in between the lid and the box and move the locking arm SLIGHTLY (maybe an 1/8") and the lid will open! That only takes 1/2 second.

That's what you are doing, you are NOT picking a LOCK!

  • its a cheap ass safe no shit ur gonna get in ittry that with thev sentry ks 2100 dont think so

  • Now I can get to my dad's gun in record time.

  • This is a good thing! Now when I lose me key, I'll be able to get in. Hopefully it stands up to fire, which is why I bought it.

  • HAX!

  • nice picking, good vid

  • Love the In Flames as background tunes!

  • This is not a new sentry safe....new ones are harder....not this easy..I'd like to see a new sentry safe 1100 opened with a paperclip

  • i did it with a pair of sissors found 5 grande and a half pound of bud it was just an experament my buddy was right beside me but a week later he got robbed at gun point and they walked out with it ,i wounder how they opend it? prob wasnt that hard but it turns out i should have taken it

  • I did open the Sentry 1100 safe with a paper clip....not hard at all!!!!

  • it only has like 2 basic pins in it i used lock picks but a 2 year old could pick it and i have a new one its just fire proof thats all..and if you want picks just order them you can get them for 20$ and as lock as you only pick your own stuff its legal depending on where you live...

  • Thanks for the vid. We went on vacation, locked everything up and we lost the key. Penny did the trick.

  • that thing ain't rated for security didn't you read the box?

  • Exactly. It's a F-I-R-E safe.

  • rofl
