You shouldn't put the drain plug back in intill you take the filter off because oil goes back into the pan when you remove the filter.

cool, but just don't try to pour oil onto warm engine as you may ruin the head of your engine, or at least proper seal of the head gasket taking a trip next summer. Did "the specialists" know that?

She did drop the car, but it was on the proper lifting point per the owner's manual. The rocker panel is polymer (it's a Saturn after all) and they are designed to flex, instead of just denting/wrinkling.

Ouch, she DROPPED the car on the jack stand and bent her rocker panel. Bad news. Instead, find the PROPER place for the jack stand, and GENTLY lower car.

Fortunately, my dad just did my oil change (as I stood by and slightly participated), but this video will be a great reference the day I have to do it myself.
