@theonlydudeyouneed Nope. If I recall correctly, it's about 2000-3000 souls per Soul Level. Which adds up to be very, VERY many.

Just a note: Everytime you riposte or backstab (critical hit) an enemy, you get 1/5 more souls. So on the shielded skeletons, you get 60 instead of 50, and on the undead, you get 36 instead of 30.

I notice that very few people tend to use bows in this game, its a really useful weapon against a lot of bosses like the gaping dragon and the hydra. you don't need to aim just use the lock on and move from side to side while attacking at a distance, at least that's how I beat them anyway... a bit expensive on bows though

I love how any enemy with a shield operates like the blue eyed knights in Demon's Souls. At the very least. oh and there's a whole bunch of guys who behave that way. And the red eyed knights are now even more terrifying in the form of black and silver. And later on in the game they become the standard enemy grunt in a couple places. What's next, From Soft...every enemy takes on the battle physique of the Taurus Demon?

There's an transcendant wall you can walk through to get a Serah blade which inflicts paralysis to a foe. And with the Serah Blade is the Valfore Sheild, its defense is 150+!

@Zazie900 I Went into Blighttown through The Depths after killing gaping dragon. They key for the gate is actually found from blight town. You need to come from inside to open the gate unfortunately :/

@TheKrake36 Gaping dragon is in the depths. But it wont unlock the door in New Londo ruins to Valley of Drakes. You have to go the long way around in Valley of Drakes, past the sleeping dragon, and take the tunnel across from the locked door. A chest at the end of this tunnel has the key. The long way is from the bonfire down the cliffs in Darkroot Basin. Then take elevator near bonfire.

@Zazie900 Hey, for everyone looking for the key to the door at 9.30, its in a tunnel just a bit further up the cliff where the Undead Dragon is. Mitchell went the Thief class so by default he has the Master key ability so the gate was already open for him when he went down to New Londo Ruins. To get the key, you'll need to go to the Valley Of The Drakes and make your way along the cliff edge around to the Undead Dragon or make your way through Blighttown. Hope this helps.

@SoulDestination1 You don't necessarily need to tackle the Drakes just lead them away from the cliff that they're blocking and then make a run for it, they won't follow you very far. :)

tip:

if you go to where you fought the first butcher guy in the depths break the boxes behind his table and theres a short cut to the big rat and you will be on higher ground so pump it full of arrows untill its dead BUT DONT jump down, go around to the right, scale the wall and get the shiny its the "spider shield" it will prevent poison when blocking and also blocks the plague darts later. PLEASE READ THIS!

You can also wield a weapon in each hand and attack with R1 and L1 BTW if you have an empty slot in your shield hand why not put a bow or magic staff so you can switch back in forth like spear and Drake.

If only Dragon Age built around this engine could be way better of a game. Seriously the areas in DA2/DAO are so small there is no excuse for graphics not to match these, and the combat system comes off alot better then 2's exaggerated fighting, and origins press x and wait system. I'm not saying take the whole engine, but build around this one.
