I bet you anything most of the other contestants cried a lot as well on camera, but the producers just decided not to air it. They wanted to show Josiah as a crybaby, soften him up, then boot him off the show. There was absolutely no reason to kick him off the show; he was one of the best there. As he had said himself, the producers didn't like him because he wanted to sing his own songs and be his own person.
If anyone really knew what they do on TV has no clue. TV is so good at cutting clips out and using it to their advantage. I know I work in a production company. What sells best is what clips they use.
If anyone took the time out and researched his background story maybe, then maybe you would understand why he is so emotional.

i guess they liked his uniqueness, but in the end, they are looking for technically-good singers. josiah got by with the whole indie/emo song thing, but with stand by me, a standard, he showed that he's not up to par with the people who have traditional singing voices. i think that they might have felt sorry for him and let him go along for the ride, so he'd get some exposure. this is a nice thing to do on the part of ai, but josiah is not cut out for a contest of technical singing.
i know that my comments will probably get a billion thumbs down, but even then, josiah lacks the versatility that traditional singers have. those comments that were given to david archuleta about if you can sing, you can sing anything are true. people with untraditional voices can't get away with singing everything. i wish that people would stop feeling sorry for him though. i mean, he doesn't deserve to win just because of his financial situation; it's a talent contest. you can spam these now.

i guess they liked his uniqueness, but in the end, they are looking for technically-good singers. josiah got by with the whole indie/emo song thing, but with stand by me, a standard, he showed that he's not up to par with the people who have traditional singing voices. i think that they might have felt sorry for him and let him go along for the ride, so he'd get some exposure. this is a nice thing to do on the part of ai, but josiah is not cut out for a contest of technical singing.

i know that my comments will probably get a billion thumbs down, but even then, josiah lacks the versatility that traditional singers have. those comments that were given to david archuleta about if you can sing, you can sing anything are true. people with untraditional voices can't get away with singing everything. i wish that people would stop feeling sorry for him though. i mean, he doesn't deserve to win just because of his financial situation; it's a talent contest. you can spam these now.
