it does amaze me to see how much things have changed, in a few British comedy songs they poke fun at big people, "big fat 14 stone miss Jones" 14 stones now is very common, so imagine 22 stones back then, cor blimey!
not to mention how something like £4/3s/0d would be £119.19 in today's money.

Seems funny that $32.45 is "plenty money", but in the mid 40's, when the song was recorded, that was like $360!
