Wow I remember this day. I was just a fifth grader...walking home from an after school club, hearing helicopters, my dad telling me the news. Then our chorus sang a tribute song for them...Forward, Together, Forward!

2 years later it is still so surreal, that this could happen at our school, in the middle of cornfields. I woke up today so very sad, remembering. Lost innocence that day. Valentines Day is about remembering this in my heart. Of all the tribute vids this is prob my fav. So beautiful & captures the sorrow & shock of the time... Forward, Together, Forward

i remember when this happened.....i came home that night from basketball pratice and heard about it. it was soo sad. i live only about 25 minutes from there too.

FORWARD,TOGETHER FORWARD  im remember coming home from school that day i was in 5th grade, on the bus i saw police cars and ambulances and i called my grandma and she said there was a shooting and i was worried so i go home i turn on the tv and cant believe it i was shocked i couldnt stand it.....the next day everyone was wearing red and black in my class.....

I'm a student at NIU and i was there that day, I had to help coordinate the ambulances and i was in the frat with Daniel Parmenter, it was tough to go through that, but everyone here at NIU is a family and we are all going to be together forever

im a student at NIU and although i was not here last year when this happened i think no matter what new students or upper classmen alike we will forever be affected by this. But it has only made us stronger as a community here at school.

I love this song put to all these photos. My thoughts and prayers are going out to all the victims and their families, along with the gunman's family. They lost someone too so i'm prayign they have the strength to get thru all the scrutin ahead. God Bless.
