hack Tutorial how to install CFW 5.03 GEN-C on PSP 3000

help, i had 5.03 ChickHEN R2.

i loaded the Gen C and when i go to system info, it says 5.03 M33-NeoGame B10

any ideas on my problem? :D

@zabusy it does work on all psp ofw 5.03. it takes time and patience sometimes. what model psp? if u used the phat folder on psp 3000 it wont work. if u used slim folder on phat psp it wont work. load it on and send me a message.

@sushistew i have psp 3004 i used slim folder but i tired of using it and accepted not modificated.... but anyway if you can help i would try again. oh and i use chicken around 200 times but i think with owf it will not work anyway i have now version 6.35 owf

when i put the chickhen r2 and open it using card reader,there has no thumbs folder.did i miss any steps?

@afiqazmi303 first formatt that card with psp so it creates the folders, then use card reader to install chick hen r2 with instructions

1. 5.03m33-6 wont be updated passed where it is.

2. gen cfw is more compatible with newer games.

3. gen cfw will be updated and has a team behind it still working.

wat memory card do u have ?.. and does the hack work with ALL the different memories like 1 gb, 2 gb, 4gb..etc bcause i think i read somewhere that it only worked with 2gb and below

great! video! it worked for me! on my psp3000.. but when i changed the battery the version came back to ofw 5.03, tried to follow all the steps again n it worked till the GEN-A(full).. after that i cant update it to GEN-C ( when i run it says now reboot psp cfw gen-c) but it shows me gen-A in my settings.. dont know what to do :( pls help!..

but then, when I hopen chiken my psp stops and a few second later she turns off and the chickhen does not appear!

ok you can get free games u can get cool apps u can hack on games (like ftb2) its cool u might need a 4gb or 8gb for games though i olny have a 2gb =(

cfw = custom firmware, ofw = official firmware

wallpaper can be changed at anytime, for themes you can use .ptf themes without any plugins on it hacked, or you can look into ctf themes on hacked psp 3000, but i think the .ptf themes are safer and just as nice.

this is sort of off topic, but on cfw, both on 5.50 gen d3 for psp 2000, and 5.03 gen-c for 3000, while playing syphon filter games(such as resistance or logans shadow) the halo effect or glow from lights is visible through walls and everything else. it's annoying, but does anyone else notice this in the games?

if you go to 5.03gen-c then you can play latest games to dec 15/09 no decrypting needed. and for ps1/psx games you can play them some may not work, but i have not tried so i couldn't tell you how to do it. if i learn soon i will make a video for it. thanks

psp 3000 is almost fully hacked the cfw will need to be reloaded if the psp is turned off or battery dies. the psp 3000 needs to be 5.03 ofw or below. the psp go is unhackable at the moment.
