my big toe on both feet had ingrown nails al thru highschool...today my big toes are numb in the area and thick skinned....a friend of mine had her toe nails removed because it hurt so much....when i would change at school, (uniform school) my right foots big toe would be stuck to my sock becasue of dried blood and pus mixture...it was so friggin painful to take my sock off after gym class i would be next to tears..this shit isnt a joke it fuckin hurts

@torso99 anyone can get an ingrown toenail u moron.....it all depends on how u cut ur nails...if u tear ur big toe nail off and part of the nail tears off around the side, then when it grows back it grows back..but its ingrown..i had normal toes up until highschool when i started ripping my nails off rather than clipping them like normal ppl....i dont tear my nails off anymore i only use clippers....so ur comment was dumb

@JessLuvsTater it extremely painful...there is several ways this can happen...having tight shoes, tearing ur nails off rather than clipping them...i had this problem on both feet..only my big toes...cuz i used to like tearing the big nals off...sometimes u tear it too deep and when it grows back it grows into the skin,thats why his toe looks so abnormal...i stated up top..i would take my sock off and my toe would be stuck to my sock inside cuz of the dried blood+dried pus...very very painful...

the doctor told me soaking them in things like epsom salts made the problem worse, i eventually had to have the sides of my nails cauterized and i haven't had an ingrown nail in over 15 years

Go to amazon, buy some Pro Ingrown Nail Nippers for 20-25 bucks, trim all the way down both sides of both toenails (that's four sides total) remove the funky black-colored skin that hangs on the side after trimming, wait a couple days for the swelling to go away, and you're done.
