  • built a smaller one (18" wide) in copper .....

  • Thanks man 

  • built one just like this. can cover an NHL size rink in about 10 minutes. Only use it on bump-free ice.

    Da bomb.

  • @nonaldehyde I'm glad it worked for you. I just grabbed mine to resurface the ice, and it snapped like a cracker, I guess it was too cold. Now I have to build a new one.

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS

  • @Stephen1991Drummer It's the MN wild state of hockey song, it is pretty sweet!

  • @jluinstr im loving the song man and thats coming from a Canadian and a leaf fan

  • how much does it cost

  • @mhalverson55 About $15 dollars when you have all the parts.

  • what is this song man??? if fucking cool !!!

  • It's the Minnesota Wild, state of hockey song. You can download it free by googling, Minnesota state of hockey download.

  • @jluinstr How far apart do you want the drilled holes?

  • You need to attach an old towel or floor runner to the back so it smooths out the water coming out of the holes and lays it flat on the ice surface, like a real zambonie. Just an add-on to a great idea (I'll be using some old copper piping I have laying around so it'll be less than $15 for me, lol)!!!

  • 15 dollars to build? I had trouble keeping it under 40 by the time I was done but I'm in Canada. Thanks for all the help, where do you come up with these great tunes.

  • what is this song? please pvt message it to me. thanks!

  • do you use hot or cold water?

  • this may mat sound really dumb, but how the heck do you use it?

  • You hook up your hose to it. turn the water on, and drag it along the ice. It will put an even amount of water on it.

  • More stupid questions.... can you run normal (cold) hose water through it? I read on one site that we should hook up the hose to the house and run hot water?

Also, I'm assuming you drag it hole-side-down?

    Thanks.,

  • thanks. I saw on another sight that they dragged a rag across the back. you think that would work?

  • Do you have to let the primer dry before using the pvc cement?

    - I live in Canada & it cost me about $30

  • Yeah, let it dry for about 20 minutes.

  • we did :)

Thanks for the idea - we think ours works great! Although, we plan on trimming the water dispensing pvc pipe because our rink is on the smaller side.

Thanks again for the great idea!

  • do you have to use the glue isn't the pvc made just to attach and leave it?

  • You have to use the primer/glue stuff. You could by the PVC that screws in and use plumber's tape, but then you couldn't custom cut your PVC.

  • And also, you need the glue or else the water will leak out at the joints.

  • Punjabi 4 life!!! and thanks for the help

  • really good thank you

  • What size drill holes did you find work best?

  • Awesome--thanks dude. . .

  • nice thankx but how much is all those accesory? **im french btw :)

  • It costs around $15.
