I don't know why people are recommending rapier for mithril dragons. I have 83 attack, I was barely able to hit with CLS with pot. I had to go as far as praying before I could smite. CLS isn't bad though. I hit tons of 450s with it.

@joikbenik longsword only takes my preference at bandos otherwise i prefere rapier most other places. But chaotic crossbow has the biggest difference form a normal wep especially with rigour

Why would you have a dfs when you have super antifires since you have extremes and you're praying meele. The pathetic +1 str bonus is not good enough to use it over the Ddef, the attack bonuses from the ddef far outweigh that 1 strength bonus.

hey i just got a cls on rs yesterday. the cls is the best choice trust me. the only thing better about the rapier is a little more speed. the rapier is 1.25x faster than the cls which basically means that if you hit something 10 time with rapier in that amount of time you would hit something 8 times with cls. Big woop

Therefore Cl>Cr for stab and slash and str.

Look it up.

Cls str divided by game ticks (5) = 24

Cr divided by game ticks (4) = 25.8 or something.

I said that because it's faster, and will generally have more stab bonus over time even though i dont have to look it up. Correct me if im wrong.

You are absolutely correct. However I was stating stat wise. Ofc the speed of the rapier makes it by far the best choice for 98% of pvm. Rapier should be about 500 hits more per hour then the cls could manage.

i hate it when i hit 0's with it. its just upsetting.

so far my max (non slay task - super att and str - ultimate str) is 428 while my friend had armor on (bandos, barrows gloves, defender, slay helm, d boots, glory)

and with me being a noob and hitting that... its pretty damn good and worth it.

maybe if ur on overloads, turmoil, bandos, and anything else that will max your str so not really worth it seeing as tho its slow as hell, low accuracy, and has only 1 purpose... pvp (soul wars, castle wars, clan wars, etc)

Maul has no stab and 10-15 seconds = 4-6 hits with maul for the speed. Mith drags for 2750 lp.

You'd have to hit 5 times of at least 550 damage to kill in 10-15 seconds. Gl when drags are weak to stab and not crush.

Longsword hits less than the maul and even the godswords

Using zamorakian spear against dragons is more efficient.

Can I hear your reasoning behind not getting the rapier or even the maul instead? The rapier just seems like the most reasonable choice when it comes to slayer tasks/pking/boss killing even though it is slightly weaker than the longsword.

It's called watching your xp counter.

Maul hits best during pking, just watch your exp counter and eat on biggish hits if they're venged.

@tbeezer12 cls has higher accuracy and str bonuses making it more ideal for fighting bosses and/or players with high def gear. It's the same reason why godswords are better than whips for gwd. with a defender a cls becomes a faster more accurate godsword making it pretty damn awesome.

In reply to past comments. I did not use bandos because mith's mage attack would drain alot of food. Besides I had extreme pots and Zerker(i). I saw how much the sword owned miths after killing the first one of my slayer task and so I finished the task vidding :)
