It's as simple as: reacTIVision.exe -m midi.xml --midi-device 15
(mid device 15 in my casoe, and after making my own midi.xml of course)
wow :) I've got my own reacTable'ish MIDI Surface controller!!!
I even have it setup up like the table (inverted cam looking up). I just have to make the angle of vision a bit wider (so it sees more objects) and get some infrared LEDs to enhance the acuracy of the image.
ok, just saw this: "NEW!: reacTIVision 1.3 [...]. As an alternative to OpenSound Control reacTIVision now also can send MIDI messages, the mapping is configurable via an XML file. [...]"
so, it looks like all I need is reacTIVision and tweak a XML file :)
So, PureData is just used as the logic processor (assigning which data controls which module parameter) and as a modular sound generator (synth) controlled by the reacTIVision symbol recognition and positional (angle) data, right ?
Instead of controling its own sound modules, can it output MIDI instead ? Or can this be done directly through reacTIVision alone ? ...or do we need another layer (app) to do this MIDI out ?
can you send me your pd file? i don't find it

Very nice! Makes we want to take a second look at PD, found a bit hard first time :)

Great work. Is it possible for you to post the commands that you are writing into PD as it is difficult to see what you are actually writing.
