@ykakad Namaskar, I'm pretty sure this is zhaptaal - from the looks of it - but this one is complicated - so I could be wrong. Correct me if I am wrong.
@ykakad I think it counts 7 beats: so something like TaKiTa-- KiTa TaKa fits in. So, it could be Roopak or Tevra where the normal Theka is Ti Ti Na, DhiNa, DhiNa (Roopak) or Dha Dhin Na, TRKT GDGN. They both add up to 7 beats like the Theka played here (1-2-3, 1-2, 1-2). It is definitely not Tritaal.

Bhajans sung in Veenaji's soulful voice are really the best. I agree that other versions of the same bhajan are not as soul stirring.We are lucky to have talented and blessed artists like yourself.
This is a philosophical bhajan with full of deep meaning to its words. We may not be able to see God in each one of us like the saints do, but understanding the meaning behind Kabirji's bhajan sung by Veena Shasrabuddhe is also a chance that I got in this life.
I like Veena Shasrabuddheji's all bhajans and classical songs. I liked this Bhajan the very first time I heard it. It is definitely a soul stirring bhajan and the philosophical meaning behind the words of the bhajan are also very touching and meaningful.
Please produce a CD or, better, a DVD of bhajans or other devotional songs--comined with your disciple Vidushi Rachna Bodas. You both project the supreme Rasa-s of Shaanta and Bhakti perfectly and with Pratibha shakti--better than most singers of today. And hopefully you will use a Sarangi as it has more Bhaava Vyanjakatva than the Harmonium (no offense meant to the excellent Hamonium player.) Namaste to you Pandita Sahasrabuddhe! @ykakad: The taal is Deepchandi...It has 14 beats...it goes like this: Dha Dhin- Dha Dha Tin Ta Tin- Dha Dha Dhin. The division is 3-4-3-4
