well im fairly new to the drum community but it sounds pretty good. i mean replacement heads would be nice but they r also most likley out of tune. the set had 3 owners before me so ithe heads r pretty beat up. i played around with the tuning a little bit, but when i get some more cymbals im gonna make a drum tour video and ill show how each of the drums sound

pulse drum sets are good when tuned correctly. ive had mine for over a year now and have added a lot to it recently. overall great drum sets for the price and when new cymbals and drums are added then its obviously even better

Ok dude, Not too bad of a kit. But you should actually tune it correctly. i honestly hate the way u angle ur toms and snare. You'd prolly want the snare to be to a more flat or tilted a little bit. And maybe lower ur top hi-hat and tilt you cymbals either straight or tilted i little but not so they're almost straight. Not sayin u gotta listen to me but u like what u like, im just makin suggestions....good job

nice kit, it's the same as what I have... all you need to do is tip the cymbals more horizontal and hit them with the side of your stick to give it a harder sound. also, don't open and close your high hat so much, it makes for good short fills if you don't open it so much and open it during the fills. also, bring the toms closer and tip the snare alot less. If it's better like this for you, move it back. but don't play as soft, it kills it...

You obviously haven't been play drums long, And that is understandable.. But learn to let your sticks bounce off the heads and don't hit bass on every note haha.. Also your snare.. Bad angel, Put it more flat.. And your toms should be alot closer.. You'll get there man, Just takes some practice :D

pulse is a good starter kit but in future, if you want a good kit, get a pearl or mapex, they rock, anyway the toms r at a bad angle, they should be closer in to each other and my friend had his snare lyke that, and he burst the head really fast because it was at that angle, so um try puttin it a bit more horizontal :S

I have the upgraded one from that and its actually a great set if you get some remo rings and tune the toms a little lower. If you get the set I also recommend getting remo drum heads. Great set for the price and with a few upgrades for not much u can get this sounding as good as any set.

You need to work on setting up your drums before you start playing them. If you set up a set wrong and then try to play it on a set that's put up correctly then you won't be able to play it. Look for videos on youtube on how to set up your kit.

I got the Double Bass 8 Piece Pulse set. I got the black set with chrome rims. I would say it is a pretty good set too with the low price and all. The snare was just crap so i got a Pearl snare to replace it. New pedals, hardware, and heads are my next priority.
