this game may have been difficult, but it didn't feel impossible like Ghosts 'n Goblins. for some reason, this game makes me think of bootleg systems because almost every one I have ever seen (the ones that look like N64 controllers that plug into your TV) has this game as the first selection

@screwhead96 I used to be able to play through Super C without losing a life! Now THAT was a long time ago. It's not just nostalgia games really did used to be better. My brother and I staying up till 3 in the morning with all our firends beating the game for the first time we rented from the local grocery store. Everybody slapping high fives and screaming running around the house when we finally did it. I don't think stuff like that happens with modern games.

I just love Contra. It's one of the greatest classics of all time, was the introduction of the legendary Konami Code, is completely kickass, and way too much better than all the first-person shit made these days.

Of course, I thought I was a god at this game until a friend of mine recently admitted that he could beat this game regularly using only one life and, just to beat out his own level of gaming nerdness, learned to play it with his feet (using the NES Advantage) ...and eventually beat it using only one life.
