To ALL inquiring minds: YES I posted the footage, and NO I would not like to sell it. Please stop asking. This is a portion of my life that would rather forget. Thank you. 8/29/05.
I was the person climbing out the water in this video. Its crazy how still now when I see this it all comes back. Crazy man. New Orleans is back and better then ever.
well I was one of the people on the back of one of those trucks -- and it's still surreal. i'm glad this video is around to show people what we went through and saw. too bad it doesn't reflect how freakin' H-O-T it was! that was the longest ride in my life.

Most likely everyone has a friend or a family member affected by the floods.
To all concerned, there is a hope for preventing future losses.
Please read “LETTER TO THE FLOOD VICTIMS” on YouTube

I will never forget the hurricane and the total destruction of New Orleans.
The big easy has yet to recover from this.
Ray Ray and the police chief just sit by while this all goes on.
Ray Ray flew his family out and left the citizens of New Orleans behind.
So much for working for the people and the parish.

So how much have things improved down there in nearly 4 years?
I live in Ohio...I remember them talking about Katrina coming and I just had a BAD feeling about the whole thing. I was just glad to be over here!
Typically if a particularly nasty tropical system affects us, some of the rivers around here flood, and with Ike we got some pretty nasty winds.

We have watched the murder rate in the New Orleans area rise as well as in Baton Rouge.
This year we left Baton Rouge after the news was getting worse.
We have since moved away from the region where it is high and dry.
Plus Gustav nailed B.R. pretty bad and we went without electricity for eight days.
Also they had to decide if water was more important or electricity.
Thank God they chose to keep the water flowing.
It was pretty rough without air conditioning and ice.

When the song first started I didn't like it and made a snap judgement, would like to change my rating to 4 stars.
