Marbury was never a bad dude imo. Always wanted to play for the Knicks. Got the opportunity and it just didn't work out. Wish he made some better decisions and worked to get better with the coaching staff and teammates. Maybe he'll return to the NBA one day
the same thing that happened to steph will happen to melo...n its not their fault. ny media ruins career.n they never do it to the scrubs. the glorify bums like jeffries,oakley n ward n run the stars outta town. im a life long knick fan. it disgusts me. everything these elite pgs r doin now, steph did. once u get a bad rep n play in ny, its stuck with u
I totally feel like Stephon is totally transformed into a more disciplined and team player being in BJ.
He wasn't THAT bad a team player even when he was in NBA, I mean there are lots of other players who are even worse, and still playing major minutes now...
I bet any amount of Money him living in china rejuvenated his passion for life. Sometimes a change of scenery is all a person needs. Shout outs to Marbury. Many of us would love to go to China.
@SDSOverfiend i agree. sometimes all you need to do is to throw a man into someplace completely new and for vetern like marbury, this is exactly what he needed to catch a second wind toward the end of his career
Lonely Wolf?? lol because he kept bouncing around the NBA? really like the vid. Marbury seems like a really personable guy. At least when humbled in China :D
@xover76 It's not because of his bouncing around . Lonely Wolf or “du lang” in Chinese is the nickname that Chinese basketball reporters and fans gave him when reporting on him. This name dated way back to his early NBA days, and mainly because he started his NBA career from Minnesota Timberwolves. And his teammate then Garnett was called King of the Wolves or langwang in Chinese.
Im a Marbury fan and a real Knicks fanbut this dude is so funny. he's not taking that train ever again LOL he doesn't even seem happy to be out there but at least hes getting a check .
@prince112233 I'm talking about skill-wise. Not career-wise. He'd be at the bottom for that. Give me that top ten PG list, god... Your era. Here's mine. 1-Magic 2-Zeke 3-Stockton 4-Kidd 5-Payton 6-Nash 7-Marbury 8-Penny 9-CP3 10-Rose
@PensOfDoom im sorry but you cannot say someone is 1 of the greatest without looking at his career because consistency is what makes a player great. we've seen nba players play great (HOF type) for 2 seasons and then once they get that big contract they slack off so i cant say that person is 1 of the greatest because many players are great skill wise but its the hard work and dedication a player puts in which makes him great and Marbury despite being great skill wise is not in the top 10 best PG
ma zhen wei you are amazing. we proud to have you to play in CBA. all Chiness support you. love is love
