  • @cdm2888 The Brownsville Station version is a cover. The original released on May 31st 1974. Wriiten and produced by Phil Wainman and (Big) John Goodison. and features on the album Big John's Rock n Roll Circus.

Big John Goodison was born in Birmingham UK

  • i still have the private stock records 8 track

  • Great tune , Don Kirshner was the greatest show , miss good old rock tunes . Who would have thought it would end up like this

  • Top track ... love it. Can't find it to download anywhere but you can always rely on good ol' YouTube, can't you. Thanks for uploading.

  • Thanks so much for getting the stereo version of this on here! It's not on any of the latest Brownsville comps. Even if it meant using an LP copy.

  • kicked ass with montrose and bto in detroit

  • original? wtf.. this is the real deal man.. seen them perform it live in 79'.. still waiting for someone to cover it! hmm, good reason to get the band back together...!

  • @Markdemers they can't. Cub Koda died in 2000

  • @Markdemers Just because Cob is gone is no reason we cannot perform something in loving memory of him... the other three remaining BS musicians (myself, Henry, Michael) are NOT dead!

  • @TheDigitalGuy1 Where can I find the LP this song was originally on? I bought it new and wore it completely out, now cannot find it! So many great songs on that one, loved the version of Ain't That A Shame!

  • I have this original on 33 LP!

  • As do I ..........

  • Not a bad cover, but like in most cases, nowhere near as good as the original!
