on the one hand you have the consolidation of the media on TV and the radio limiting people's choices. on the other hand you have the internet where anyone can be a journalist and people will have unlimited choices. Depending on the eventual choice society will have to make on Net Neutrality I wonder which we will look back on more fondly:

The days when news came from all the same source through a corporate filter and the real news had to be derived from this, resulting in a constant stream of the same old outright lies.

Darn good question. Unfortunately I went the wrong direction by withdrawing when instead I should have put on my kid gloves and started punching. I guess it's never too late though. Things possibly could improve but we have to kill the corporate mindset that has plagued America and seized control over our public servants in high places.

the media is left-winged like this joker on the video. why are we listening to some punk kid that knows nothing of the outside world other than what he read in books. Please gain some life experience by visiting other countries to view the media from an outside perspective. You might realize just how liberal our media has become. You can serve your country by not being in the military and he is serving the country. Other countries are less liberal you say? So you want to be like other countries then? used to call myself very liberal, but that's equally deceiving as saying Im RW conservative. it's about compromise, and in a society, especially my generation and younger, of increasing extremism, degradation of integrity and sexual objectification, perhaps it's a "neo-conservativism" app. that may be most appropriate. overall, though, labels ain't where it's at

A extreme view either way, and the labeling of such as being left or right is counterproductive. It's a compromise b/w liberalism and conservativism. the media's inherently liberal b/c art and human expression is liberal, mass media being the capturing of this makes it by virtue "liberal" in nature.

Wrong. The last few elections show the country is almost evenly split politically. Yet the media/press are overwhelmingly leftist. That's why "right wing" FOX stands out from all the other TV networks and why the entire media/press hates them so much. Logic should tell you that if right-wing politics controlled the media, the last thing they would do is denounce their own ideology and work so hard to get themselves un-elected.
