Anyways, I'd probably go with PS4 instead of XBox. Nothing against the system itself, but Playstation and Nintendo have always had way more games that I was actually interested in. Xbox 360 maybe has a few and that's it.

ps4 becuase im loyal to sony. i personally never had any issues with sony. once it comes out i'll wait a year/ a year and a half to buy it.as you said there are no that many games to play so i rather let the production roll a little bit before i get the console. i have nothing bad to say about xbox, i dont find their exclusive games all that great, but thats just my opinion.

I don't mind buying "the first attempt" as dodger puts it. This is because warranty laws in my country, where any electronic device that has a expected life over 2 years automaticly has a warranty for 5 years instead of 2 or 3. So if its a hardware failure, the store must replace it. My first Ps3 broke after 4 1/2 years and I got a new PS3 slim free of charge, because they couldn't fix it. I don't feel the need for a new console system right now, ask me again in a year or year and a half.

Graphical capacity is growing too fast for consoles to be viable, in my opinion. It took little over a year for PC to be more powerful than the 360 when it came out: gonna assume it'll be faster this time around.

The only real reason consoles will continue to come is cause of the stability a developer gets out of static, uniform specs, and the newbs to gaming. But optimization of graphics settings for computers is an easy fix here...but large companies are reluctant to spend the money...

I thought that console gaming would force devs to excel in creative design or storytelling, as their "shiny" graphic power was capped (see ps2). But with all growth of gaming to mainstream status, that's taken a hiatus (with alot of the big boys).

@ParadoxTime you don't have to be a noob to enjoy playing on a console! it really just depends on your taste both cater to different kinds of players even though they sometimes share games i'm sure you would agree that its a different experience. most of the games i like don't even come out on pc and i've never been a fan of the mouse and keyboard controls. i'm not the best with computers and to me they are too much trouble with a console i just turn it on and it works until it breaks.
