  • I plan on using the flushable liners to flush the poop. I really don't wanna spray.

  • @adonna2000 Liners are great for people not wanting to deal with the poop.

  • Love this! I asked my husband all the questions just out of curiosity & he answered pretty much the same way your husband did. We are trying to convince his cousin & cousins wife to try cloth with their 1st baby due in December. They're a little sketchy for the same reason most are...the "gross" factor, worried about stink/stains & the amount of time it takes. I think I'll show them this video!

  • @xheatxherx Sounds like our hubbies feel the same way... hopefully you can convince your cousin to give it a whirl. Good luck ! Let me know how it goes.

  • I love this video- I am definitely going to make my husband watch it because we are ttc right now and I definitely plan to CD our next baby and he is having a hard time understanding why I want to try it. thanks so much to you , Blake, and even little Porter for making this video :)

  • @BooBear6607 You are very welcome. I hope it is helpful :)

  • Hey, what is the max amount of diapers you will do in one load? Our 6 week old was in fitteds but we've just stepped it up to pockets and I want to make sure I don't over load!

  • @vicsterrrful I would say the max you should have in a load is probably like 25 or so.

  • This is soo cool, that's very considerate of your hubby to do that. not a lot of husbands would do that. you're blessed.

  • @LoveIsDanswer1 He is an amazing husband... I was so happy he said he would do this video for you guys.

  • Great informational video, thank you! I have a question, what's more expensive buying disposable or washing cloth (water expense) after you invest money on buying them?

  • @tetyana20 For sure washing cloth. I haven't seen much of a rise in costs really.

  • This either

  • @hithere00000 Weird

  • Hey, we just did a video like this =)

So awesome to see other dads interested in CDing too!

  • @ObbsAndLala I agree... it's nice to see what dads think

  • Great Video!! Love a dad's perspective!! You mention prefold's for the the 'next' baby....will that be soon??? ;-) Love your video's - Keep them coming!!!!

  • @lshimmin73 Haha... we plan to start TTCing in January 2012

  • your husband should make more videos. I'd like to show mine how effective it is! :) Great job! :)

  • @chabella123 I will tell him that :)

  • I think this is a great video. :) Thanks for sharing. :) I was just wondering about one thing.. (and this is not to be negative or cause any discussion with anyone) You mentioned that a pro for clothdaipering is because it causes less trash out there. BUT, how about all the energry and water used getting them cleaned? Is there some way one can measure the difference? I dot not have kids yet, but I want to learn more about it and what I think would be best for when it will be my turn as a parent.

  • @chabella123 You are so welcome. There is alot of conflicting information on the energy and water usage... but I think you ahve to pick your battles... everything has an environmental impact so I just choose to not put more into the landfills.

  • That was fun.. Thanks for sharing Blake!

When my nephew was 3 months old, he projectile vomited into my mouth. Yeah, eww.. I've had disposables "explode" on me. I don't even have kids, and I've had every gross baby thing you can imagine happen to me. lol.. I'm excited at that thought of using cloth diapers when I have babies. It looks like fun. =)

  • @lilblondehooker I will thank him :) And cloth diapers are sooooo much fun.... don't let the grossness scare you... because it really isn't that bad the majority of the time.

  • Porter is adorable!

  • @Mileshka22 Awww thanks :)

  • It's easier to do a load of laundry then it is to make a trip to the store with baby to by diapers! Thought I would mention one of my many reasons to use cloth. Thanks again for another great video!

  • @burbujajg I totally agree... but so people don't realize that. And you are welcome.

  • I think this is a great idea for a video!

  • @jollyjess6 I think many times cloth diapering doesn't get considered because the guys won't do it... so I hope that by having Blake talk about it, guys could maybe see that it isn't that bad.

  • awesome video! We used pre-folds with our newborn from day one, and it was tricky at the beginning but quickly became easy.

  • @allnaturalmamatobe Yeah I think it would be easier if you just get used to it :)

  • Major props on getting your husband to do this!

  • @BlackAmethyst1616 haha... he really didn't want to do it but he did :)

  • Great Video! You guys seem like such a great couple!

  • @MsJessica0410 Aww thanks !

  • I cant wait to do this video! I also have a question for you. What do you do in terms of smell factor inbetween washes. We spray off poopy diapers, and we have a diaper pail deoderizer at the bottom of the pail but the smell is still over whelming and stinks my sons room up really bad. any suggestions? i dont have bac out because im not sure it is available in canada

  • @bbz800 You should do it ! We spray a bit of Bac OUt on our poopy diapers before putting them in the pail and when the amonia is really bad we do washes with Rocking Green Funk Rock and we do lots of extra rinses because many times amonia smell is due to extra detergent buildup

  • Great video!! I think I'll get my husband to do this one :)

  • @edhill1988 You should !
