I personally think she was being more disingenuous during the primary. Unless you think she actually supports McCain policies, then of course she thinks Obama will be the best choice NOW!!!
Romney said some harsh things about McCain during the primary season, then did a 180° turn and supported him. All candidates do it - going back many decades. To single out Hillary for doing it seems a bit unfair. I didn't support her, but we all know all polititians support their party's nominee when the primaries end despite what they said during the primaries.
Cenk, I'm really confused with your religious views. You have denied Jesus in the past and also talked down religion in general. But now you say "God bless you, Hillary Clinton"
Can you tell us your personal views on God and religion?
"Can BOM handle the job?" "Is he ready to lead?" JMC is forgetting/changing positions by the hour & we're asking is Obama ready? JMC doesn't even look like he can make it to Nov much less a 4 yr term. JMC's administration WILL IGNORE HIM. He will be out raising money & giving speeches while his staff will be laughing about his senility. After a period he will step down & President Romney will be sworn in as planned from the beginning. Ppl think they are voting for McCain-they ARE NOT.
Was Bush ready? what qualified him to be president? At least Obama is smart enough to know he can't do it buy him self and is willing to reach across party lines for help from does who my have the right answer or idea on certain issues. You can believe that if Mclame get in office Chaney will teach him how to ignore the constitution and do what ever he wants while in office just like they have done and is doing...
I put my first two sentences in "quotes" b/c I heard Tom Brokaw say them over and over after Obama's acceptance speech. If anyone ran a campaign like McCain's in previous years they would never make it to the nomination b/c they would be laughed out of contention. Steve Schmidt was installed as McCain's new campaign manger not to keep him from screwing up every damn day b/c that's impossible. He is there to make sure no one in the media reports it. They did it with Reagan & McCain is no better.
Hillary was awesome. And when OBAMA Does his terms. Hillary will have her shot again. Hillary kept the party together. I'm Backing all that have a (D) after their name.
part of me thinks obama should have picked hillary as his running mate, for one he would have no problem swaying her voters, for two he could have the advice of an ex-president, i mean you cant get much better than that as far as people backing you, but i think it kinda wouldnt have fit, ya know, i trust in his decision as far as his running mate goes
U know something? Even though I voted for Hilary I have come to despise her AND Bill Clinton for how they treated Barack Obama. Now her supporters are angry that Obama isn't paying off Hilary's campaign debt and didn't choose her for VP. As far as I'm concerned she can take those 18 million votes she received and shove them up her twat.
This one sentence show show dumb ass Republicans how their party is playing them for the suckers they are.
Dr. Paul's degree is in medicine and medicine is rooted in SCIENCE!

ron paul would ruin this country. you know hes the favorite for white supremacists. you know why that is? because hes a fundamentalist bigot. opposes science, opposes gays (was in favor of anti gay sex laws remaining, for fucks sake), opposed civil rights act of the 60s. his an isolationist and hes nuts. read up, man. ron paul is dangerous.

URE rite man.got y is it that some of yo people are fucking idiots voting 4 asshole fuckers!!as an african i favoured ron paul more than any other ass!!!
Does NOT matter where he was born, Barak's mother was an American citizen. He could have been born in Africa. He was born to an American. McCain was born in Panama.
So what if Hawaii became a US state in 1959. Obamas more an American citizen than Arnold Swarzengger who happens to be the ongoing governor of California.
They're pointing out that Hawaii was a state for 2 years before he was born there, thus he is a citizen of the United States and eligible in every way described. Pointing that fact out isn't a poke against Obama, it's a thumbs up for Obama. :)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This just makes me sick. Obama was NOT borne in America. END OF STORY! He is NOT eligible to be president! He disrespects our flag and our American values!!
McSame...osp McCain WAS NOT borne in America!! He is NOT eligible to be president. END OF STORY!!
These bastards parade up on stage as movie stars like they are so great... when they don't even meet the minimum requirements. I want to know WHO PUT THESE CLOWNS IN THE RUNNING???
I WILL NOT VOT FOR ANY OF THESE TRAITOROUS BASTARDS!!!
Who do you think put 'em in the running? The people of the US get what they want. If they didn't then they would change who they are voting for. There are going to be 5 names on the presidential ballot. And there are elections every couple of years which give citizens all the chances they need to effectively change government. I think that the most descriptive statement about the reason for why the shit has hit the fan so hard is "Americans want to be lied to and so they are." It's the norm.
Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States of America in 1959. Obama was born in Hololulu, Hawaii in 1961. The Constitution says a candidate for president must be a natural born citizen of the United States. End of story?
do people actualy buy into this crap.the DNC,the RNC.its all the same crap.its all a bunch of morons coming together to say a bunch of BS.i love the part where hilary talked about how all the democrats are equal and joined together and then it cuts to a shot of the VIP room with all the shrimp and amazing food and drinks and then it shows how everyone else had to buy hotdogs for seven bucks.just made me laugh.
Wow, Cenk, did you pee yourself there? I noticed that Hillary didn't say one single good thing about Obama? She's truely a genius. "Look at me, Hillary, being magnanimous!!" but not giving her supporters one real reason to vote FOR Obama except that McCain is like Bush. Amazing woman. Evil but amazing.
ask any biracial person...society in general will always judge a biracial as black. His skin is darker than white and that is all he needs to be considered as "black."
All that Obama has to do is run on Ron Paul's Foreign Policy issues and a Progressives Domestic Policy Issues, while demanding accountability for Uniformed Immigration.
The Constitution of the United States
Article. I. - The Legislative Branch
Section 8 - Powers of Congress
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
I do think that Hillary has done more damage then good for the Obama campaign. With that said. It was important to give the impression she is now behind the nominee. Her image is damaged in my eyes but I think she has done the right thing. I also think that if the shoe was on the other foot. Hillary would not care about Obamas supporter enough to have there vote heard at the convention. Look... Unity is something we need because the republicans are looking to demonize Obama.
I was a hard critic of Hillary. When this campaign first began, I was a Hillary supporter. Then I saw the way the HIllary ran the campaign and was turned off. If she ran her campaign in the beginning like she did towards the end, then she would have won the nomination. AFter her speech, then I have gained a lot of respect for her again. No matter what reason she did it for, she did it right. I have nothing but love for the Clinton family.
Hillary is a member of the Uber Rich Power Players Party or URPPP. It is difficult to see her has anything else.. i am a little less than impressed by anything she has to say. I'd say she like John McCoin would sell her soul to be the center of attention and cruise around in a 747 wasting energy at a greater rate than anyone in history.
I think Anna missed the point. Hillary said several times that she supported Obama more for the fact that we can't be for McCain. She didn't say Obama was the best, but that compared to McCain, we really have no choice. Now you can get all emotional and whatever, but the fact is, she is 100% right. Even if you think Obama would just be o.k. as president, he is still 10 times better than McCain as president.
I think you missed Ana's point. People don't care what Hillary thinks. Her "supporters" who are not voting for Obama have their own agendas and Hillary can't say a damn thing to change it.
it was a good speech but i really don't believe it will make that much of a difference. at best i'd say instead of 50% of her supporters voting for mccain now maybe only 45% will. that's still over 8 million defectors which would surely sink obama's ship
Cenk is right.. eventhough I like Anas response.. the sheeple followers of lunitics like Hillary will do anything for her... right, wrong or indifferent. It doesn't matter. Hillary stood up and lied to the nation and got caught and her supporters didn't even flinch. How dangerous is that?
Ridiculous, appalling and absurd. Clinton is a REPIG trying to act like a Democrat, that is why she comes across so awkward. Clinton is a NEOLIB or what is a NEOCON. NEOCONZ & NEOLIBZ are against; #1. Balanced Budgets #2. Domestic Spending on infrastructure #3. They're War Hawks #4. They're NAFTA Globalist 25% Conservative found in the Democratic Party 25% Progressive found in the Democratic Party 25% Liberal found in the Republican Party 25% Classical Liberal found in the Republican Party
There is similarities in all 4 descriptions you have to have the ability to distinguish where the party ideologies belong. It is a Two Party Philosophy with an additional two different ideologies in each party making it complex to differentiate between the two parties.
Clinton is clearly a NEOLIB or what is a NEOCON. The only difference between NEOCONZ & NEOLIBZ is spending on domestic & foreign policy.
From my experiences REPIGZ are most commonly first to demand studies to support statements.
CENK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please listen to Ana! Cenk, your might be more politically grounded than Ana, I know Ana has the right discernment. Her speech prior to her dropping out is different from today. Ask yourself this question, has Obama undermined her suggesting that Mccain is better. Obama has always said that Hillary Clinton can do a great job as president, but he can do the job BETTER! Assuming she's better than Obama interms of ability, she's too polarizing that nothing will get done!!
Ana is right. I don't think this speech makes a difference. If these people are crazy enough to pledge allegiance to McCain because they don't want a black guy in the white house, I am certain that this speech won't change their mind. It was never "Clinton" support; it was "white candidate" support. Anybody but Barry. Sad but true.
For heaven sake theyoungturks, do not get carried away with this speech. I just do not believe in the heart of hearts, the Clintons wants Obama to win. You tell me what Clinton's analogy of candidate X or Y bullshit.. Albeit, the speech was good, it lacked a personal touch. Put your thinking caps on youngturks....
All her speeches lack personal touch. I have never been moved by a Hillary Clinton speech. She always comes off as fake. I don't even remember her giving a speech until now to be honest, and I'll probably forget about it like I forgot about the rest of them.
Yeah, I think the reason for Ana's take is she knows an obvious lie when she hears it. It's hard for honest people to understand how dishonest people think. I know some Hillary supporters and they are just like right wingers - they hear what they want to hear. Will they do what Hillary says with her words but not her heart? I have no idea.
Back during the primaries, I couldn't get over how false and trumped up Hillary's attacks seemed, how bad they made her look, how slimy and poisonously political. Those were the falsehoods, not her generous comments at the DNC. I think her people will have to get over it. They'll kick & scream, but they will get over it. 'Cept for the die-hard nuts, o' course--nothing gets through to people that far gone.
Same here. Cenk got all wide eyed over this "band-aid" speech. It should have never even come to this. If you are a democrat, you should support the party and not just one member of it.

Besides what matters is how we view OURSELVES and NOT how "society" (White) people view us.
If you are a person of color learn your roots, and if you are a white person well it figures.

Does NOT matter where he was born, Barak's mother was an American citizen. He could have been born in Africa. He was born to an American. McCain was born in Panama.

Yes, Hillary Clinton made an outstanding speech!

So what if Hawaii became a US state in 1959. Obamas more an American citizen than Arnold Swarzengger who happens to be the ongoing governor of California.
doranda777 3 years ago
They're pointing out that Hawaii was a state for 2 years before he was born there, thus he is a citizen of the United States and eligible in every way described. Pointing that fact out isn't a poke against Obama, it's a thumbs up for Obama. :)

1NWOMD 3 years ago
Who do you think put 'em in the running? The people of the US get what they want. If they didn't then they would change who they are voting for. There are going to be 5 names on the presidential ballot. And there are elections every couple of years which give citizens all the chances they need to effectively change government. I think that the most descriptive statement about the reason for why the shit has hit the fan so hard is "Americans want to be lied to and so they are." It's the norm.

you're ridiculous, hawaii is one of the 50 states
rafael28 3 years ago 2
Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States of America in 1959. Obama was born in Hololulu, Hawaii in 1961. The Constitution says a candidate for president must be a natural born citizen of the United States. End of story?

so he is an american then my dumb freind
if hawaii became a state in 1959 and obama was born there in 1961 that means he is american genius

do people actualy buy into this crap.the DNC,the RNC.its all the same crap.its all a bunch of morons coming together to say a bunch of BS.i love the part where hilary talked about how all the democrats are equal and joined together and then it cuts to a shot of the VIP room with all the shrimp and amazing food and drinks and then it shows how everyone else had to buy hotdogs for seven bucks.just made me laugh.

It was a "don't forget to vote for me in 2012" speech.
99Leo 3 years ago
Wow, Cenk, did you pee yourself there? I noticed that Hillary didn't say one single good thing about Obama? She's truely a genius. "Look at me, Hillary, being magnanimous!!" but not giving her supporters one real reason to vote FOR Obama except that McCain is like Bush. Amazing woman. Evil but amazing.

Cenk Barack isn't black, he's biracial. Haven't you heard?

ask any biracial person...society in general will always judge a biracial as black. His skin is darker than white and that is all he needs to be considered as "black."

All that Obama has to do is run on Ron Paul's Foreign Policy issues and a Progressives Domestic Policy Issues, while demanding accountability for Uniformed Immigration.
The Constitution of the United States
Article. I. - The Legislative Branch
Section 8 - Powers of Congress
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

I have nothing but love for the Clinton family.
nugen966 3 years ago
Same as me. She pulled it together. Shows how people can change.
shademurtagh 3 years ago
Hillary is a member of the Uber Rich Power Players Party or URPPP. It is difficult to see her has anything else.. i am a little less than impressed by anything she has to say. I'd say she like John McCoin would sell her soul to be the center of attention and cruise around in a 747 wasting energy at a greater rate than anyone in history.
hypnofan35 3 years ago 3
I think Anna missed the point. Hillary said several times that she supported Obama more for the fact that we can't be for McCain. She didn't say Obama was the best, but that compared to McCain, we really have no choice. Now you can get all emotional and whatever, but the fact is, she is 100% right. Even if you think Obama would just be o.k. as president, he is still 10 times better than McCain as president.
sabiki74 3 years ago 4
I think you missed Ana's point. People don't care what Hillary thinks. Her "supporters" who are not voting for Obama have their own agendas and Hillary can't say a damn thing to change it.
TheDreamReborn 3 years ago
what crappy sound! :(
FinnHawk 3 years ago 2
it was a good speech but i really don't believe it will make that much of a difference. at best i'd say instead of 50% of her supporters voting for mccain now maybe only 45% will. that's still over 8 million defectors which would surely sink obama's ship

Cenk is right.. eventhough I like Anas response.. the sheeple followers of lunitics like Hillary will do anything for her... right, wrong or indifferent. It doesn't matter. Hillary stood up and lied to the nation and got caught and her supporters didn't even flinch. How dangerous is that?
lestliness 3 years ago
dustynbones 3 years ago
oh yeah, cuz they'd all be exactly 25%? What a coincidence! Do you have some studies to support your statements?
FinnHawk 3 years ago

Assuming she's better than Obama interms of ability, she's too polarizing that nothing will get done!!

prideventures 3 years ago
Ana is right. I don't think this speech makes a difference. If these people are crazy enough to pledge allegiance to McCain because they don't want a black guy in the white house, I am certain that this speech won't change their mind. It was never "Clinton" support; it was "white candidate" support. Anybody but Barry. Sad but true.
TheDreamReborn 3 years ago
For heaven sake theyoungturks, do not get carried away with this speech. I just do not believe in the heart of hearts, the Clintons wants Obama to win. You tell me what Clinton's analogy of candidate X or Y bullshit.. Albeit, the speech was good, it lacked a personal touch. Put your thinking caps on youngturks....
highbury10 3 years ago
All her speeches lack personal touch. I have never been moved by a Hillary Clinton speech. She always comes off as fake. I don't even remember her giving a speech until now to be honest, and I'll probably forget about it like I forgot about the rest of them.
TheDreamReborn 3 years ago 2
Yeah, I think the reason for Ana's take is she knows an obvious lie when she hears it. It's hard for honest people to understand how dishonest people think. I know some Hillary supporters and they are just like right wingers - they hear what they want to hear. Will they do what Hillary says with her words but not her heart? I have no idea.
TheGiantRobot 3 years ago
Back during the primaries, I couldn't get over how false and trumped up Hillary's attacks seemed, how bad they made her look, how slimy and poisonously political. Those were the falsehoods, not her generous comments at the DNC. I think her people will have to get over it. They'll kick & scream, but they will get over it. 'Cept for the die-hard nuts, o' course--nothing gets through to people that far gone.

Unfortunately 90% of voters of either party have any idea of what is going on.
That is why for instants you have blue collar union workers voting for anti-union mega millionaires like Steve Forbes back in the day.
