It seems to me that, because of that very defined spout, you can get away with having more milk in the pitcher than you'll need and still have it pour very nicely. Man, I wish all steaming pitchers were designed like this.
@markpianoman You should! We're going to do a side by side of all our pitchers to see which ones make it the easiest, but so far our vote is here :) - Kat
I love how Gail gives up on the latte art and THAT is when it appears... Although to me it looks like a laughing clown hiding behind a leafy fern (clown is facing center from left). They say art is in the eye of the beholder. They also say VanGogh was insane, so is this insane latte art???
I think it may be the claw, as it is restricting your arm movement and getting down to the delicate gestures needed for latte art. For a test lets put Kats arm in a cast and see how it works...?
@MyEspresso911 We don't talk pricing as it may change and then folks say 'you said it was x in your video 3 years ago...' so anyway, you can check the current price on the site. The volume is 16 oz. - Kat
I'm so happy you got it on film! This had me grinning from ear to ear :)
There's a barista who's been a mentor to me, and he goes ballistic with his latte art. He's done dragons and pigs, as well as rabbits, suns, a phoenix, you name it. He's phenomenal. He even gave me a crash course and I can ALMOST do rosettas on my superautomatic at work.
@rootinator That's awesome. I would love to be able to do some of the things I've seen -- the dragons and swans, what have you. But I am content to watch Gail flourish ;) - Kat
@md50001 We can't put too much pressure on her! I think she can do it again, too. She's done it in the past but the camera makes her nervous I think :) - Kat
Great work! This pitcher looks very similar to Motta pitchers. In any case the substantial weight and quality is a great benefit to steaming and getting microfoam.
Nice pouring action!!! Like that quality heavy-weight pitcher...gotta get me one of those - the cast that is...seems to do wonders for coffee presentation ;P Ruben :)
Is that the 20oz size pitcher?

I didn't get the name on the pitcher......what is it? I know that Motta makes one of quite similar shape.

@markpianoman These are Rocket-branded Motta pitchers, this one was the ~25oz or so size. - Kat

@SeattleCoffeeGear Do you have that size for sale? I need one that is 24-25oz. On seattle coffee gear seems that there is only 16 and 20 oz D:
